Star Strike nodded, then looked at the human and snarled. He barked feircly as another came.

Alex Spirit saw Angel Fire's ears twitch back towards the way they had came, and neigh loudly. She quickly came down and took him out of his stall, not even bothering to tack him up, she vaulted on, and urged Angel into a gallop to where he wanted to go. He did a perfect sliding halt in a clearing, near the beach. She saw a girl and a few dingoes. She smiled to the girl and slid off Angel's back. "Hiya."

Wild Mountain Springs trotted silently through the bush, tossing her head. She spied a stallion in front of her, and she nickered quietly, seeing he was heading into the dry country, like most animals. She nickered again, a a little more loudly.

Mulgu Heard a mare call behind him, he whipped around to see a pretty grey mare, he pranced up to her when he realised she was on her own, "hi," he said, he hadn't really tried to claim a mare before, "I'm...well my name....I don't have a name but call me," he paused, "Mulgu." He pranced around here trying to show off to her, "do you want to come to the dry country with me?" He asked, if she said yes it would be official, Mulgu would have his first mare. He threw around his head shaking it side to side, up and down, trying to show off his neck muscles.

Wild Mountain Springs tossed her head as the stallion pranced around her. "I am Spring." She said. She thought about what he said. It would mean being part of his herd. She flicked her tail. "Sure. But you might want to stop flexing your neck. It could mess your throat up." She said, already acting like lead mare. She trotted forward, her steps, head, and tail high, she flicked her tail when she was in front of him. She broke into a canter, as a bolt of lightning shot behind her. She tossed her head, flicking her mane to the wind.[/size]

Mulgu stopped tossing his neck and galloped to catch up with the mare before cantering, he wasn't used to being told what to do, just at that point lighting struck behind them, "do you know of any shelter at the dry country?" He asked her, he was going to let her be lead mare but he couldn't help but play some of it himself, just bringing mares into his heard wasn't quite enough for him.

Wild Mountain Springs nodded, slowing to a trot. "Yes, I know of a place with high ground, but enough grass to survive until the storms go away. Jarawai won't reach us there." She said, tossing her head. "But it is quite far away." She said, her pace slacking. She flicked her tail, knowing that Mulgu was going to try to get more mares.

"jarawai?" He asked, "I knew of a storm coming but I'd didn't know what, what is jarawai?" He asked, he had heard of talk if a big storm but this sounded worse. "How do you know about the high ground with grass?" He asked, maybe she grew up there and that would make it easier to explore. "Before we go further though try to avoid stepping on moss and bare earth and try to stand on grass tussocks (grass clumps), stone and rocks, logs and rivers, it will make us harder to track," he said, his father had taught him and his brother that.

Wild Mountain Spring nodded. "Yes. I grew up in that place, and my dam told me that it would be a good place to shelter from Jarawai." She said, then added. "Jarawai is what we call the big storm that comes around every four to seven years. The humans call it 'La Niña. I expect it is going to be bigger this year." She glared at him when he said to avoid stepping on certain things, then sighed, shaking her mane. "Okay! I'll listen to you." She said, like she didn't know that she had to do that.

"We better hurry then," he said, "I hope you can keep up," he teased before going into a speedy canter, he could go at this pace for miles, he glided easily over the foreign ground, his feet moving in a pattern over and over again in a steady beat.

The young dog turned to face the human. "What! Neptune! I thought you said no-one would find us out here!" snared Saturn as her eyes stared straight into those of the girls. Saturn growled constantly, baring her teeth but not attacking until Emma had gave the orders.

"Settle Saturn, we don't want her daddy to shoot us." he said in a taunting matter that only Emma and the other dingoes would understand. Neptune walked a few steps forward, he wasn't welcoming the new stranger and he too bared his teeth and snarled at the human girl who smelt like soap and chemicals.

Emma placed her hands by her sides, her palms facing the wild dogs, indicating them not to attack. Well not yet any way. "What are you doing here?" asked Emma in a slightly rude tone of voice. The dingoes fidgeted around her ankles.

Red trudged through the undergrowth, her chestnut coat hid her from unwanted eyes but her white chimeric markings made it hard to easily get away from stallions and men a like. She was small, 13.2 hands but she still had some time to grow, maybe another hand or so. "Great job Red, why don't you loose your herd Red!" she said to herself, thinking, hoping that she was alone.

Mulgu saw another mare not to far away from him and she hadn't noticed they were there yet, and even better she was alone, but Mulgu wasn't sure if he wanted her for his herd yet, he had to get to the dry land ang he didn't want a trail of mares slowing him down. Mulgu called to the mare to let her know that he and Spring were there.
