Mittens purred, amber eyes shining with excitement at being able to escape this place. "You can escape the same way I did," She said simply, gesturing her tail towards the bowl of food she had. "Dump that out, and start yowling as if you were hungry. Make sure you dump the food out where the feeder won't see it!" She ordered, paws twitching anxiously. I'm itching top get out of this dang shelter! She thought, taking a quick glance out of the window. She looked back at Jackie. "If this doesn't work, I'm sure we'll get you out somehow..." She could hear the footsteps of the feeder coming through the hallway. If we can pull this off, I'll be so happy! She looked over at Bentley, who had said something about the bars. She hissed, eyes clouding with fear! "Dog!" She yowled, and she hopped up onto Jackie's cage, hissing at Bentley.
MacKenzie looked through the pens, finding no horses inside the stable. I guess they're all outside grazing, she thought, turning around to walk out of the stable. She walked in through the front door, looking around the shelter. She breathed in the smell of wet dog and cat litter. It wasn't the best smell, but she was used to it. It kinda comforted her now. She wandered into the room where the dogs were kept, and saw Blueberry in her cage. She leaned down to see the young dog. If she had to pick one dog that was her favorite in the shelter, it would probably have to be Blueberry. The female dog was very playful and energetic, and a sweetheart who didn't bite and loved being pet. "Hi Blue!" She whispered.
