"I-I am?" she almost wispered, but Bentley was already out of earshot.
Rose found it sweet that he thougt she was pretty.
Rose had never thougt of Bentley in that way. But maybe she should..?
She trotted after him. Where was he heading?

Bentley climbed up the mountain in winter pass to his cave. It was hidden, and he walked inside, with a few onions. He took them to his storeroom, and stored them with some other herbs. It would flavour them nicely.

Rose followed right behind Bentley for a while, but when he started climbing the mountains, Rose stopped.
She walked back to the grove, eating some more of those wild onions.

bentley came out of his cave. he saw rose. had she been following him? he watched her, then walked down to her. "look, rose, im sorry about earlier.. i just.. really like you..."

Rose shook her head and looked up at Bentley. "No, don't be sorry. And... I kind of like you too." she said, standing tall. "I just don't know you that well." she mumbled. "But we could work on that" she hurried to say.

"yeah, we could.." he waited for her to make the first move. he didnt want to kiss he and her just wanting to be friends. "im going to get some more onions to stuff with honey. you wanna come with me?"

"Of course" she said and waited for Bentley to take the lead.

bentley trotted off to the grove. he pulled up a few onlions and waited for rose. he then showed rose to his cave; where he stuffed the onions with honey.

Rose entered the cave. "How did you find this?" she asked, admiring the stone walls.

"my mutti lived here. she used this as a hiding place from cougars. she was captured and taken to a horse sanctuary. my mutti met my pappi there, and i was born there. they took me to a racecourse but i soon escaped. i use this place as a food store room, and as a home. when winter arrives barely anything good to eat grows. i store it all here. i store pinecones in here too. they are the only thing that grows in winter."
