Lillia // 8 months old // rogue // no relationship // on the pack's border // nervous, excited // Amaro ;; open
It was time. After traversing mountains, watching the grass run slick with many a creature's blood, and clinging to her only family and friend, Lillia found herself gazing a border spotted by gorgeous wildflowers. The rainbow hues made the border seem all the more alluring, like something out of a dream. And she would be happy to be lulled by the gorgeous setting, if it weren't for the silence radiating from Amaro. Glancing at the wolf that had raised her, the pearl fae smiled, only to feel her stomach twist in sadness as Amaro looked away. They had been through a lot with packs, and nothing good had come from it. Our lives are about to change for the better. Why does he look so lost? "Cheer up Amaro," the pearl fae said, reaching up and gently nudging his shoulder. Meeting his dark amber eyes for a few moments, she then whispered, "I promise this is a new beginning for all of us. We can wait for a patrol here - if one doesn't come soon, we can make our way to the pack's territory, okay?" As Amaro nodded and turned away, the feeling in her stomach intensified. I'll show it's the right thing to do, Amaro.
Amaro // 7 1/2 years // rogue // no relationships // on the pack's border // nervous, ill, troubled // Lillia ;; open
It had come. The moment he'd dread more than anything. No, it wasn't teenage wolf drama, love drama, famine, or even an outburst of a virus. The tall, old wolf angling his gaze towards Lillia, his precious daughter, the only thing he had. She was gazing at this border as if it were a step to paradise - she didn't know any better. And it was his fault he hadn't taught her. But he knew. So why was he standing here? Amaro knew the answer, but he still couldn't swallow it. It was too unfathomable. Feeling Lillia's dark amber eyes upon him, Amaro turned, unable to hide the emotions on his silver maw. Or more so, unwilling. Lillia, being her sweet yet somewhat deniable little self, nudged him and whispered words of encouragement. Had it been any other wolf, that would've been their last words. But he didn't flinch, and maintained the gaze until he could almost taste the eagerness that showed in Lillia's eyes. Turning away, Amaro simply nodded to her words, knowing this was perhaps the most foolish decision he'd made in his entire life.
