Katsu wagged his tail, glad that he had been allowed a chance to help, he wasted no time backing away, and bounding towards the road to retrieve the prey. He gathered them up carefully in his jaws, and returned quickly to where he had left the two. He had done this with little thought, but he knew it was usually rare for him to feel any empathy, he just didn't know what made things so different now. Perhaps it was because there was a pup involved, or that they were from different packs, but this was strange since usually nothing ever evoked these feelings of compassion even if he had made a similar mistake, like crossing the border, and having to apologize. It just didn't make any sense to him, so he didn't give it any more thought as he re-entered the clearing, greeting them with a tail-wag. "I have returned, with dinner!" he barked enthusiastically setting the two birds down in front of the mother and pup.

Atka thought about Carla, she had never met her, but she had been around long enough to know that she was quite fierce, being a German Sheppard, and also quite moody. She stopped panting, "I agree, my friend." she barked in a happy tone. "You must forgive me, I still haven't introduced myself." She chuckled, lowering her head. "My name is Atka, mind telling me yours, dear?" She asked politely, her tail slightly wagging.
