Cinder kept guard while they trotted to the bridge. She was making sure no Broken ones would sneak up on them, so she was constantly sniffing the air. After a while, she caught the scent of a Broken one. "Hey, Hedix, hold up. I think I smell a Broken one," she said. Cinder met eyes with a Broken one walking out of some bushes ready to pounce. She quickly got into a fighting stance ready to attack or evade.

He snorted and huffed, shaking his head as he walked headed for the bridge, and the woods all round. He sighed and shook out his reddish brownish fur. He growled at the Broken one. He crouched down, muscles tensed and ready...

Cinder watched the Broken one carefully. As it tried to pounce on her, she evaded its attack. It lunged towards Hedix's throat, but Cinder jumped and pushed the Broken one away before it could scratch Hedix.

Cinder crouched down ready to pounce. The Broken one circled the two dogs baring its teeth, his fur standing up on end. Cinder rushed and pounced on the Broken one without letting it attack again. Quickly, she bit into its throat, killing it. She panted, stepping off the Broken one. "Alright, let's keep moving," Cinder said and glanced at Hedix.
