Luxurious stood proud a top of a small hill in the plains, his black and white mane blowing in the gentle breeze. Lux had been on his own for sometime and the drive to get a new herd and gave young ones was driving him over the edge. He was in his prime at the ripe age of ten and he was itching to start a fight or win a mare. Well more than one mare clearly but for now just having one would do, and with that mare he would protect her with his life. See being a lead stallion meant more than just making babies it meant protecting the mares and foals with your life and that was something Lux did not take lightly. Switching his long tail behind him he lifted his large front hoof and rubbed it into the dirt. A snort escaped his large nostrils and he threw his head hard letting out a loud neigh that was raspy and hard his ears were perked up on his head and he shook his head once more. Pushing his front legs off of the ground he rose back into a stance and neighed out hard once more. He was down wind so he could not smell around him but he knew his scent would spread far and wide; he was letting his presents known.

Her head lowered, lips and teeth biting at the tender jade-colored grass under her. Savoring the taste, the continued to graze- until she heard a raspy neigh flow into the air. Her head instantly returned to normal height, tail swaying as she took a step forward. It had been far too long for Miracle to be on her own, her heat had been driving her crazy.. and now a stallion wasn't too far. Raising her head, her lips pulled back as a whinny spilled from her lungs, her body moving forward as her legs formed a canter. Head bobbing, she could catch the stallion's scent, finding it enticing to say the least in her state of mind. Making her way up the hill, her eyes caught sight of the stallion- standing proud as he seemed to just be waiting for the mares to spill at his hooves. Snorting, she halted herself to a walk, head bobbing as she extended her muzzle in a greeting.

Callisto let the stallion push her. She saw the black mare they were heading. She wanted him to herself for a while, but, if it cane down to it this could be a good way to show her dominance. She slowed down, her hooves missing the thrill of running, her mane missing the wind. She whinnied in protest as she saw the new mare. She looked back at him for a second again checking before comming to a stop before the new mare. She kept her head high as she raised her front hooves into the air. She breathed out heavily. She did not like this one bit.

Gypsy stood at the base of a hill now, she had looked for a water source for a while, still having no luck. That is when she heard the call. She looked around trying to find the smell and the call. She heard it again and looked up the hill, she saw him. He was handsome, and of a ripe age. She called back and started to climb up the hill to her bachelor.

Crystal joined the other mares in checking out solider. She guessed the chesnut would become the lead for she was the oldest and Crystal stood no chance against her now. She bobbed her head up and down, happy with her new herd. Now she just had to figure out, how she could be the first one to get covered. She waited for others to start introducing herself, especially the chestnut.

Rust bobbed his head. "Then you are experienced, good." He walked around her once looking at her gorgeous pelt. Then deciding his answer. He then whinnied before asking ger permission to cover her. Her pelt felt soft and silk. He rubbed his soft maw against her back after asking her, as a reassurance.

Kalmin was happy to see the mare knew what he wanted. He sniffed her mane, her scent making him feel warm. He claimed her, sniffing her tail doing so. Her heat scent was later into her cycle, that was good for him. He introduced himself, "Hello, I am Kalmin, may I ask your name?" he asked. She was gorgeous. Lucky for him to have his second herd start off with such a pretty mare.

As the stallion approached her she lifted her head nickering to him softly. She wasnt aftaid and as long as he made no aggressive moves towards her she wouldnt run. She tensed when he first touched her but soon relaxed raising her head to gently lip his mane in response.

"Woah. Im not gonna gorce you into anything." His voice was gentle. He let loose a soft nicker. "I dont want to force you into anything. I would love for you to join me and my herd. I can offer u protection.

Night squealed snapping her teeth at the other mare. She realized she didnt have a chance and backed off a little her ears still back. She may not like her mother but she liked the three year old. She lipped the three year olds mane in a sign of greeting.

Mahogony side stepped when she was nearly pushed out of the way by the other mare. She snapped her teeth at her in warning. Her ears laid back she stomped her hoof in the water warning the mare to back off a bit.

Wolf dipped her head in a nod. "Lets head towards the river. Its hot and i could use a nice swim." Picking up a trot the pain mare lead fhe way towards the river jumping over a few logs here and there. As they approached she wadded into the river taking a nice long drink.

Melody was grazing just below the small hill. Feeling that she was no longer alone she lifted her large black head. Her curly mane cascading down her neck. The moriesian watched the stallion with interest. She flicked her heat scented tail spreading the scent around her before she dropped her head down to graze once more.

Kota let out a low long nicker. His ears forward he approached the mare. He didnt want to have to snake her but he would if necessary. He slowly approached reaching his nose out and sniffing her side.he gently lipped her mane trying to relax her breathing his scent against her.

↪ Annoyed, Aspen backed away from the stallion's muzzle. It was too early to mate in the stages and she didn't want to be an easy pick. She nipped at him and taunted him again, wanting to seem more accepting, yet disappointed. She trotted back and forth attempting to avoid any possible snaking, yet still remain visible. She snorted and began edging farther away. Her banner streamed behind her like a flag, it swayed and twisted with the wind. Her mane flew side to side as well, mimicking her banner.

His dark eyes were scanning around him as he awaited a mare or two or three or you know how ever many were waiting around, to flow out at him. His large hooves toyed at the grass that bowed under his weight, his tail tossing here and there until a whiny met his ears. Soft, gentle, and clearly female. His ears pushed all the way forward as his muscles under black and white pelt flexed. Turning his large head he spotted the Appaloosa brown and white spotted mare coming his way. Her posture was calm, and interested but her scent was what really made his attention land on her. She was in heat, and by the scent of it no other stallion had claimed her yet. Nickering under his breath and whiny deep in his throat the stallion threw his head now turned 360 to face her. Until another nicker met his ears and his head turned to look at the base of the hill a lovely Gypsy Vanner mix by the looks of her. Her pelt was silver dappled with white she was not in heat as strong as the Appaloosa but still the more the better. Throwing his large head at her he toed at the grass once more grunting at her flexing up once again as the two approached him."Afternoon, madams" His dark brown orbs flicked from one to the other until a new scent met his nostrils. Flaring them hard his eyes flicked to the base of the hill where an onyx mare grazed at the grass.

Hmm three mares? Maybe today would be a good day for him. Throwing his head he let out a whiny at her slamming a hoof into the ground to get her attention and of course keep Gypsy and Miracle's attention as well. Could he really win all of these lovely ladies? Puffing out his chest he made himself look big, bad, and proud as he held onto the hope they would become his..

Miracle continued to advance, though once two other scents reached her nostrils, she halted. Turning her head, she caught sight of the other mare whom made her way up the hill. Eyes narrowing slightly, Miracle felt an irritation bubble inside her. She had spotted the stallion first, and even came to him first- she had all the right for his attention. Moving her head, she faced the grey and white mare, head bobbing slightly while her hoof traced the grass. She let out a snort, nostrils flaring as a small neigh formed in her throat. She would be sure to show she was to have the stallion's attention first- even if it meant fighting. She was at the peak of her heat, and dealing with other pesky mares who wanted the same as her, wasn't on her list of things to do. Gaze snapping over to the new mare whom approached up the hill, she gave it the same treatment that she did to the grey and white one, yet this time her hoof slammed against the ground, agitated. Turning back to the stallion, she approached closer, her head extending to his mane while she lipped at it gently, her tail swishing about behind her; spreading her heat scent even more.
