Sabie looked down a little. "Sorry. I wouldn't have done it if you hadn't been going for that fat wounded one. I knew it wouldn't be able to run off. Also, I think I took the leader of the group down so they wouldn't have gone far," she smiled at Linkin.

Linkin chose to ignore the lioness for now. He wasn't in the mood to deal with strangers right now especially ones who almost messed up his hunt. All he wanted to do right now was eat his meal.

"I uh..." Smokie started to speak when she stopped, she heard something in the distance, "hyenas they must have smelt the blood". She flicked her ears back, she didn't like Hyenas they would always steal her kills but she wasn't going to let that happen to Pupster's kill since he'd worked hard to bring it down on his own. "Pup do you have somewhere we can take the kill that will be safe from the Hyenas" she said as she looked at the younger dog. (She calls him Pup because he is younger then her)

Sorry I took so long.

Pupster sniffed the air. "Follow me," he worked, dragging the kill into a thick clump of bushes. "I come in here whenever hyenas, other lion, other wild dogs and anything else that wants our food find me and my know kills."

Sabie growled. "I smell hyenas. They'll be after our kills. More likely my brother's," she said referring to Pupster as her brother.

"If its Hyenas then I don't think there's much we can do to help your brother, Hyenas aren't afraid of lions" he replied.

Smokie followed Pupster into the bush, "we'll have to wait them out and see if they leave" she said referring to the Hyenas.

Sabie sighed. "He's a wild dog, let's hope he'll out run them if they start getting nasty." She looked at her own kill. She'd nearly filled up. "I'm guarding mine until I'm done, few more mouthfuls..." Normally she'd leave it but since she was finished in *nom nom* now she didn't. Sabie sat a little way away from the carcass and watched the hyenas arrive with fascination.

"Another wild dog" Linkin said, "seems like I'm seeing them every where recently, I think there is even one following me sometimes". He watched the hyenas, "I see her every now and then usually after a hunt though I haven't seen her in a couple of days" he said.

Sabie nodded. "Well, I met Pupster when he was a few months old. I was a little older," she watched a hyena move in on Pupster's secret bush. She felt sudden protectiveness and growled at the hyena. The hyena grunted and moved away.

Pupster stayed very still as the hyena sniffed the bush.

Sabie sat up straight and growled louder and deeper.

Pupster nodded to Smokie to say not to move.

The hyena grunted and left. His friends hanging back to grab Sabie and Linkin's Addaxes. They soon left with food.
