I hunch down and stick my hands through the bars, hidden inside is a few dog treats of various kinds. Making slow movements and awaiting the dog to come to me not forcing the issue.

Splash sniffs his hand and slowly starts eating the treats then starts to wag her tail

He placed down a treat near his cage. "It's okay boy, I won't hurt you." Mark looked over his shoulder to where the adoption papers were. He went over to get them.

Jerry speaks in a soft tone " Hum, your a sweet girl aren't you, what could you have done to end up in a place like this"
Pondering out loud is one of my many oddball quarks that gets me in to more trouble then not.
I lean in closer to the bars and smile slightly at the dizzying daydreams of previous clients I've trained before, could it have been I found a dog.

Walking past a beautiful dog winter stoped looking at its glossy fur. Winter bent down and reached in to stroke the dogs head then lowering her hand to reach collar reading it she read ''Lily'' She smiled and got closer to lily and looked into her eyes as if she was the one. Winter giggled as she reached and pet her once more she waited to see what winter would do.

Lilly snarled lunging at winter aggressively her ears flat and her teeth showing.

Riley wags his tail timidly. He crept up to the front nervously

He walked back to Riley's cage with the adoption papers in his hand. As he saw Riley walk forward, Mark smiled again. "It's okay boy, you can trust me." He whispered.

Jerry calls over one of the associates, discusses the terms of adoption for a moment and nods.
Slowly I bend over and smile, in a soft tone says " You've got a decision to make pup, there is a whole big world of adventures and parks to be had. I'm not sure if you would like that with me though, I'm going to open the gate and sit here...come on over if you want to"
Almost holding my breath I slowly undo the latch, it releases with a sharp click and a creek as the door swings open. I sit down with my legs folded, not moving any and waiting.
