Annabeth kept on strumming, listening to what the girl had to say. She played a Em, C, G, D in a row, the chords to her favourite song. When the girl finished, she put her hand on the strings, causing the sound to stop abruptly.
"Consider me your new friend Annabeth Lachance, then! I love making new friends." Annabeth said. When the girl sat down, she made a gesture towards the guitar and said; "Wanna try? It's easy."

Artemis looked at the guitar nervously, "I'm not so sure about that, but thank you. I have never played a guitar before..." she said with a sigh. She didn't want to upset her new friend, so she continued by saying, "why don't you play another song? You seem to be really good!." Artemis smiled at Annabeth and waiting for her reply.

Annabeth nodded and smiled. She started plucking at the strings, trying to decide which song to play. Whenever she needed to get a way for a while, her guitar was the answer. She remembered all the chords to Let It Be, and chose to play it. She played a C, and a G, and then her fingers remembered the chords. Am, F, C, G, F...
When she finished playing, she looked back up at the girl.

Artemis looked at Annebeth, amazed at her strumming. She said, "wow, that was amazing, you seem like a natural at playing the guitar. Where did you learn?" Artemis smiled back at Annabeth and look at the ground below her feet, then at her watch. It was getting a bat late and she needed to get home before sundown other wise her parents would be very mad at her for staying out past dark.

"Oh, where I learned it?" Annabeth said, a bit surprised. "Mostly self-taught. But I hung around the music-nerds in school for a while when I was younger, but it was only temporary. I quickly moved on." she explained, and tried out a new song she was planning on learning on the guitar. "That reminds me, I don't know your name yet."

Artemis looked at Annabeth's guitar and said, "wow that's amazing, you really taught yourself? That's so cool!" Then she looked at the ground and smiled, but started to get a but nervous after Annabeth asked for her name. "Oh, I completely forgot sorry," she added, "my name is Artemis, like the greek god." She smiled and winked at Annabeth, sarcastically.

"Greek mythology? Nice!" Annabeth said. "Isn't Artemis the goddess of the hunt or the moon? Its something like that, I'm i right?" She wondered, quite impressed with Artemis' parents choice of name. "It's a pretty cool name, I must admit." she said to Artemis and put her guitar in its case. She didn't want to ruin it.
