Macie nodded ''Yes, please!'' she said, her heart almost pounding out of her chest. She sighed ''Where are we even going?'' she asked,confused.

"Just follow." He said, jumping up over a big rock, then slowing down for Macie as he reached the very top of the cave roof. It was perfect time to show her since he needed a mate, and this wolf WAS certainly perfect for him. With a little training she could be the perfect runner, and Hunter, and pack leader, but best of all she would by the looks of it love him forever if she liked him. He so hoped so, as he wished to some day take his love, and pack back to his family, look them in the eye, and say, "I have made it through my live without you, and now that I proved it to you, I want an apology for making my childhood a misery!" He stopped, and sat down.
The rough rocks weren't as nice as the skunk hide to sit on, but he would deal with it. He yawned while he waited for Macie to hurry up the mountain towards him.

Miley froze, and faced the direction that the dogcatcher was coming from. She knew that they should run, but it was as if she couldn't control her legs. She was frozen in her terror. 'I can't go back to the pound. I won't go back to the pound. I will never go back to the pound.' She felt Reggie nudge her, and she snapped out of her terrorized trance. Determination replaced the terror in her eyes, and she nodded at Reggie. She began to follow him, but then she realized that Marcus wasn't following them. She glanced at him, and pleaded, "Marcus, please come on! I don't want to go to the pound again.."

Kia woke up and looked around. It seemed that Kaapo and Macie were out somewhere together. She smiled and she thought, 'It seems that Kaapo has found his future mate. I'm happy that he found someone.' Kia stood and stretched wondering when or if they would return.

"We stop here. Now look!" He said, putting his paw underneath her chin lifting it up. There heads faced a velvet sky, coming up through the clouds. Sundown, he sighed, right at the perfect time for "the question"

Macie smiled ''Sundown is a very beautiful time, isn't it...'' and let a sigh of relief out of her mouth. She sat down and wagged her tail as she looked at the velvet sky.
