Anya woke with a massive yawn. She stood up, stretching out her limbs as she went. She glanced over at her human who was still fast asleep. He was only five and little kids had to rest, she knew that. With a loving look towards him she stepped off her dog bed and nosed his bedroom door open. The scent of fresh brewed coffee tinged the air, signifying that her boy's parents were awake. She walked down the soft carpet stairs and into the livingroom. A surprised look crossed her face as she saw the oldest sibling to Alex sleeping there. She continued walking to the kitchen and greeted both Alex's parents. She felt excited as they opened the sliding glass door to the unfenced back yard. Their house was huge and she was trusted not to run away. There were many scents in the air, a fresh dog scent blew towards her on the crisp morning breeze.

Kia felt stressed and her leg stung from not moving it through the night. Her limp was still very noticeable but she didn't let it stop her from going to meet up with Kanti again. She felt a burst of happiness as she jumped onto the ledge. For a terrifying second she was unsteady. She continued on and quickly made it up the shore and onto the grassy overhang. She was panting from the effort of only really using three legs.

After I woke up, I stretched luxuriously. "Mmm..." I just loved the mornings. The air was always just filled with clean, clear smells, and you could hear things from farther away. Plus, the sky was beautiful!

Spark

I woke up, having wriggled inside my barrel to sleep. I winced at the rusty tang in the air. I rolled out, my tongue lolling out of the side of my mouth. When I tried to bark, though, my voice was gone. All that came out was a raspy squeak.

Sunny

I had fallen asleep digging my hole. On the upside, I could wriggle through it now! I squirmed my way out, then looked around. Where was I? I had no idea. I was totally lost, except for my fence. Then I smelled blood. I ran towards the smell and found a dog who was bleeding. I whimpered and nudged her with my nose.

Karma

Karma looked at Duke and she tilted her head, "Really? You sure!" She asked. She smiled slightly, she didn't like being alone and living with another dog would be nice, they could rely on eachother.

Kanti

Kanti had slept in a patch of ferns, he was awoken from the sound of another dog. He smelled blood and... Something familiar.. Someone familiar... Nikia! He leapt from the ferns, "Nikia! Are you hurt? Who hurt you? Tell me and I'll... I'll.." He snarled, pacing back and forth in front of her. His hackles were lifted and his lip curled, whoever hurt Nikia would pay for it.

Kita

Kita has crawled into a car in th Junkyard the night before, it was well away from the other dogs. She had had her pups and now as light filtered into the car she looked up and gave a short yawn. She was curled up on the back seat with her three newborn pups cuddled yo in her thick fur. She had stayed away most of the night and she slept little.
