Don't worry? You jumped me, and we fought. You broke my paw, and I nearly suffocated you beneath pounds ofs now. Did these wolves forget what happened? Or did they remember how to regret... Varien watched her, before flickering his silver ears backwards. "The barrier must remain in order for survival," the silver wolf returned in his ever cold tone, watching her with his single eye before he continued. "You tackled me first; do you honestly blame me for my 'barrier'?" Varien questioned with a strange smirk, shaking his head. These wolves. The silver wolf was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Night's tirade. Varien watched with interest at the alpha asserted her dominance; he uncurled his tail from around his right left hindquarter, and closed his eye for a second as she nuzzled him. He didn't pull away, yet with Grace there he felt as if he had to be at least partially alert.

The large silver male opened his eye and watched Grace, and as she introduced himself his ears perked to the fullest point. Graceful Snowflakes Dancing on the wind? A.... descendant perhaps? They were my family's closest allies... until they were eliminated for such a great many reasons. They are so far gone.... did they leave and somehow continue the legacy? Or is this just another tribe that is here to remind me of the olden? Varien shifted, his claws retracting back into his paws suddenly as the anger seemed to leave him. "Greetings," Varien then stated, tilting his head sideways as he stood up. He took a few steps forward, leaving a bloody pawprint on the snow. The bloodflow from his paw had slowed, yet hadn't fully stopped due to the knife-cut reopening an older wound. Yet, somehow even in this state, Varien kept from attempting to end Faolan's ceaseless chatter by focusing on the two faes nearest to him. So much closer mentally to him than they had been just a few seconds ago. Yet upon hearing Night's saddened tone, he glanced at her. Perhaps the first fae to help him, and she was obviously hurt from Faolan's word. Varien gently brushed his tail beneath her muzzle, casting a quick glance over his shoulder to see if she'd be angry or not. Then, he heard Grace's question. Before he could answer, Night dismissed her. Varien watched her go, and lowered his head ever so slightly. What if that is part of my past gone now? Varien then took a few steps backward and laid next to Night, common sense finally kicking in. His paw needed to rest in order to heal. When Night called Grace back, the silver wolf waited. And waited.

When she came back, he remained silent this time. As she spoke, Varien's eyes locked upon the symbol over her eye. Their legacy living on... somehow... it's possible. Yet he remained silent. She didn't trust him; it was obvious in her gaze, her stance, even her breathing pattern. It was none of his business whom her family was, and it was obviously a tender subject with her. As the faes said their farewells again, Varien felt his gaze lock on her maw as it curved into a smile... was she looking at him? Why was she smiling suddenly? In spite of the strange stir within him at her name, Varien leaned forward hesitantly to sniff her. Would she back away? Or would she sense his curiosity and rememberance towards her name, and her being suddenly... and remain?

(Wow, that's interesting C:)

Grace dipped her head again. "Um, sorry about... the other day." She said, remembering their fight. She closed her eyes and listened to the melting, the chatter of birds, the smell of the buds blooming. She opened them again and looked at the strange wolf. She watched him as he thought... but about what? He seemed to be studying her. Suddenly he leaned forward and sniffed her. She stiffened at the faint touch of his wet nose brushing her silky fur.

She relaxed a bit when he pulled away. She tilted her head a bit, the sun illuminating her strange mark over her eye. Does he know about... me? ...Us? My tribe? The place I can call home?

She looked up at the mountains again. White wispy clouds drifted around the peak of the snowy mountain. She sighed. She glanced back down at the hesitant brute. She thought for a moment and then decided to ask him. "Do you know about me? ..Us? M-My Tribe? ...Home...?" She murmured, her strange accent starting to show.

She had gotten used to Pack-Wolf talk, and she tried to talk like them so she wouldn't seem an outcast. But of course, she will always be an outcast, for she had come from a Tribe... The Tribe. Suddenly she felt tired of talking like a Pack-Wolf. She wasn't one of them, and she didn't have to be like them.

Her gaze shifted back to Varien as she awaited his answer.

(If there's any mistakes, I'm really sorry. Autocorrect is stupid XD)

Night layed beside him fluffing her coat out against the cold. She didn't mind when he brushed his tail against her. It was comforting. She felt safe with him despite his earlier attempt to kill her.
