chicken. On April 26 she was taken and
killed by a raccoon. For some people,
chickens don't rank up with dogs and
cats as meaningful companions.
I strongly disagree chickens do have
souls just like every animal. Rest
peacefully in heaven, my sweet
snowball of curly feathers.

Carmen stood and stretched out her muscles. She had become a little stiff from sleeping so long. 'My name is Carmen, I was lost, I have a pack, I have a home' she thought to herself. It was her little chant she had said ever since that day. It was the one thing she held on to. She sniffed around and could tell other wolves had passed through her. She'd be careful, but she needed to find food. She began walking in a random direction, looking for anything that could satisfy her growling stomach.
