Dawn smiled to herself, she had her eyes shut, and could feel Oynx's breath, she felt like she belonged, for once in her life, she belonged. She opened her eyes, slowly, and wondered what He was thinking.

She closed her eyes, "I miss them all so much...I wish I could have stopped them from being killed...but...but I had two wolves pinning me down...I couldn't do anything...I watched them be killed...." She whimpered, "I'm sorry..."

Onyx opened his eyes as he felt Dawn's eyes flutter open against his fur. He looked at her and smiled gently. He nuzzled her neck in a loving way. Should I tell her how I feel? He asked himself. Suddenly he felt as if there were a hundred birds fluttering around in his stomach.

Dawn smiled to herself, innocently, she flinched slightly at the loving touch, but bowed her head slightly and licked his chin, she felt full of anxiety, yet confident, she was scared to see his reaction, she closed her eyes gently, and leaned against him lightly

Onyx pulled away as he felt her flinch. Did I do something wrong? He thought, feeling a bit dejected. Suddenly Dawn licked his chin and rubbed up against him. He shivered, he didn't know why, he just did, and closed his eyes. He found himself resting his head on her back lightly. She likes me! Should I tell her I like her too? He thought happily but anxiously. He straightened up, making sure he was still touching her, and licked her forehead. He pulled back and stood in front of her. He suddenly found himself trying not to lose himself in her warm eyes. He took a deep breath. "Dawn, I really like you.. I-I..." He trailed off sheepishly and rested his muzzle on her head. He closed his eyes and let her sweet scent envelope him.

Dawn smiled to herself as she heard the words, at last, she felt his muzzle on her head, and felt relaxed at his touch, he felt warm to her, his black coat seeming to hide his sweet personality, as if like a mask.
"I, umm, really like you too"
She felt nervous at these words, but soon was comforted remembering that he had saved her, not Dante, it was as if it were meant to be
