- It started slowly as most diseases do. No one really thought much of it when their dog got sick. The vet
only gave a bit of medicine and sent us on the way. But when the kids began getting sick, when the first
one died from a disease we transmitted, that was when everything changed. We weren't welcome, we
couldn't stay. The dogs had to go, we spread the disease, we carried it. We were dangerous. So on
one cold morning white vans pulled up to everyone's houses and confiscated all dogs to be euthanized,
by order of the City Council. We were thrown into cages, locked in, and shipped off. But along the way
something happened, there was a loud bang and we tumbled around for long minutes. Then everything
stopped, the vans didn't move. Some of our cages broke, and those of us left alive slipped from them
and out the swinging back door. We were lost, in the middle of nowhere, surrounding us were massive
trees surrounded by a thick fog. Alone, scared, and with nowhere to go we are faced with a choice.
Band together and try to survive. Or go our own separate ways. Search for home? Or make our own?
