Tricky Info
Stallions will fight to keep or gain a herd. They won't inflict death or mortal damage. In fact, not many get seriously harmed when fighting. A stallion may compete for another herd, but if that stallion who is challenging has a herd and he loses, the winning stallion will receive the losing stallions herd, vice versa. The stallion rarely has a mate, he breeds with all available mares.
Mares will usually kick or bite to show dominance and back off to show submission.
