Kiya had woken early. She was standing on top of one of the outer stones, watching half a dozen zebras who were grazing nearby. She sighed as the warm winds blew through her fur. Her ears, tattered of too-rough pup's play toned to the zebra's shrieks.

Yena stepped out of his den. He bowed to Jenna, before circling the camp and counting members. Then he raised his head and stepped to Roku.
"Hello." He called.

I'll be joining, but wouldn't all females be above males? Or is this a completely unnatural setup? }}

(Accepted, and the female hunters don't have any dominance over males specifically. They eat first, and are respected by the males, but they won't order males around. I watched a documentary about spotted hyenas
In actual spotted hyena packs, there is a pack of aggressive and powerful females, and a pack of calmer males; the latter following the former. I thought that'd be complicated, so I made it all one pack. The Male Alpha and Beta are equals to the female hunters.

While I thought this was a great idea (and I apologise if it's confusing) I preferred the striped hyena's coat to the spotted, so I made the rp open for striped hyenas as well. Hope that clarifies.)

(Well, it's the morning, and first post. Your hyenas can begin in camp, like Jenna and Yena, or somewhere in the rock field, like Kiya. It really doesn't matter.)

Vega

The very pregnant she lied out in the open, watching as vultures circled above. They thought her to be dead, with the bloated appearance she gave off. Now they were simply watching her, waiting for the opportunity to swoop in and scavenge. She, of course, would not let this happen.

Kiya leaped off of the rock. She trotted in the rock field, wandering and exploring (Open)
