Deciding to head out of camp and maybe find a loner to speak too, Dakota got up and shook the snow from her pelt. The cold snow sent a shiver down her spine as she thought of how a storm could occur while she was out. Walking to the entrance, she gave one last scan through the camp to see if anyone was watching her. After, she was gone. Dakota started picking up speed as the snow flew up from her heels. After a while of running and her tongue lolling out the side of her mouth, she started to slow. First, a trot, and then, a walk. Dakota's amber eyes glimmered as she spotted another wolf, probably a loner, about her age. "Hello?" The fae said as she walked out from the brush. Dakota was alert that his was injured, and a bit fearful as he might attack.

Ace scanned the camp, the small flakes of snow drifing around him. His black fur was glimmering from the snow that fell onto him as he narrowed his eyes. Shrugging it off, he slunk to the nearest overhang rock and shook out his fur, snow falling from it onto the ground. After the shake, his pelt became more of it's natural color; black, grey, and dull. When he lay down beneath the rock, he grunted.

Severus pricked up his ears at the sound of another wolf's voice and went straight into defense mode. As he stood up, he tried to look as big as he could, his ebony coat a stark contrast against white snow and gave a deep growl. It was a bit of over kill but just coming from a pack that wanted to kill him, Severus wasn't going to take any chances. "Just leave me be" he growled as he stayed where he was unsure if he took a step forward, whether he would fall or not. The fae didn't seem like she wanted to cause any harm but being a loner for as long as he had, Severus knew better than to fall for a pretty face.

As Dakota heard the growl, she immdetiately became submissive. Her ears lay back against her head and she tucked her tail between her legs. "I won't cause any harm, I just thought... I could help with your injuries.." Dakota murmured, lowering her head. The fae's amber eyes glittered with fear, confusion, and other mixed feelings. "And since you are probably a loner.. I thought you might want somebody to talk too... I feel like a loner in my own pack.. I just joined, and know nobody, so I thought I'd fine a loner to talk too even though it is against the rules of the pack, I did it anyway.." Lifting her head and stance slightly, the tip of tail started to wag, but barely, "I thought maybe the loner needed a friend as well as me."

Severus relaxed a little and sat down on the cold snow, curious about this fae. He cleared his throat "Thank you for your concern but I don't need any help" he said slowly as he kept his grey eyes on her, not fully relaxed. Severus tilted his head at her words "If you felt lonely you should go talk to the members of your new pack and not a loner like me" he said quietly and licked the wound on his chest once more, hoping it won't get infected. He wanted to get to know this nice she-wolf but at the risk of her breaking the rules of her new pack made him feel nervous for her. Severus didn't want her to get in trouble for just trying to be nice. "Everyone needs a friend, but I suggest you start with your pack mates" he said as he stood up, trying to look stronger than he was. He gave her a polite nod and slowly made his way through the snow.

Getting out of her nervous stance she barked softly, "No, please don't go." She bounded slowly up to him and blocked his path, "Please, if I get in trouble, I won't even mention anything you did. I'll say it was all my fault, because it would be." Circling him once or so, she ran then tapped him with the tip of her tail. "I am Dakota, if you wanted to know.."

Severus stopped in his tracks "I don't want you to get in trouble and if anyone says anything I will be the one to take the blame, most wolves will find any excuse to chase out a loner. I will just be giving them one." he said with a shrug. It was better if he got the blame instead of her maybe getting an omega rank or chased out of her new pack. Not being able to stand for too long, he sat down and smiled a little when she said her name. "Name's Severus" he said as he watched her circle him.

"Severus.. I like it." She said, sitting on the snow in front of him. Dakota shook as a chill ran up her body from the snow. When she sat, the ice mading a crushing noise beneath. "I won't let you take the blame, I'll take it. If they chase me out, so what, I'll just be a loner again, just like when I was a pup." Dakota said with a slight shrug, but then thought for deeply into what she said. The fae shook her head and dipped her nose into the snow. The white powder was in a small pile on her nose, and she watched it intently. Eventually, she sneezed, and it blew off. Dakota giggled, a bit embarrassed at her pup like actions. "Sorry.. I couldn't help myself!" She exclaimed, still giggling slightly.

"But don't you like the safety of a pack?" he said in a puzzled voice. He had been in 2 packs in his 4 years of life and would love to be surrounded by wolves he trusted. He chuckled a little at her actions as a little of the snow she sneezed landed on his face which he wiped off with a dark paw. He stood up and placed a snow covered paw on her nose and jumped back a few steps. The wound on his chest gave a dull ache as he jumped around in the snow but slipped as his back foot touched the frozen river's edge. Severus lay on the frozen river, waiting for his mind to catch up with his actions.

"Severus!" Dakota exclaimed, shaking the powder off of her own nose. As he slipped, Dakota hadn't noticed, but she noticed now. He lay on the cold, slippery ice, that she ran across, sliding into a snow bank. Shaking her pelt, she walked more steadily now across the ice until the met up with Severus where he lay, almost limp. Closing her eyes and pressing her head against his pelt, holding back a tear or two. Dakota hated seeing wolves like this, whether she knew them well or not. "Severus.. please get up.." The fae murmured as her head became eye level with his. After no answer Dakota stood up and nudged him. Every nudge, he slid a little farther away. All she wanted was for this brute to get up and be alright.
