Simiko barked. "Stop! Theirs a sled coming" she said and dug her claws into the snow and fell, almost. "Stop trying to get David!" She bark growled.


Jett looked at bear before trying to keep going. "YOU WANNA GET TO THE FINISH LINE SO THEY CAN HELP US!" He snarled.

[Andalusian]

Bear

He kept dragging the sled while Rome yelled his truthful words at him. Bear stopped and didn't move, he stood there with his ears swiveled back listening to Rome. His curled tail slowly went down and hung by his feet, he felt as though a giant spear had just penetrated his heart, it sunk into him that his owner, his best friend, had now been gone from his life. Bear's denial turned into numbing, painful grief. He turned his head back at Rome, his eyes looked softened with pure sadness. "Ah.. Al-Alright Rome." He spoke with a morbidly depressed tone. He looked down at the thin, cracking ice, secretly hoping it would break from under him and he could be with his owner, for he couldn't image life without him. He turned around and walked towards the rest of the pack with his head and tail hanging down, going in the direction Rome and Koda insisted, but not in any rush. His heart was far too broken to rush.

Shasta

Shasta looked at Bear as she watched the tough, hard ole beast melt into a puddle of painful sadness right before her eyes. Her heartbroken too, she whined at him softly, he just walked past her. She thought of her owner for a moment, all the times he shared his love with the whole team, especially Bear. The love David and Bear shared was incredibly strong. She pinned her ears at Jett and Simiko, barking at them. "Stop it! Leave him alone, he's been through enough already" she snarled defending her old friend.

"Sashta! I was saying their was a sled coming!" She said and watching her and growling a bit. "And now we'll never get back, we are Lost " she said as the snow came down harder.

Jett looked at Shasta. "Well I'm sorry, but we need help not fighting!" He said and looked around.

[derision]

Koda had had enough of their nonsense. "Shut up you mongrels! We have to get away, or we will all die like David!" He barked, so sharply it made Fleck flinch.

Fleck was going to reply to Tessa when Bear started some drama. Tail tucked between her legs, she again whimpered.

Rome
I sigh, everyone is so upset and it's my fault. "Come on guys, we've had a terrible day. when it gets time to settle down for the night I'll try to break out of this harness and free you too." I secretly wish to Bear and Shasta that they feel better. I feel like I made it a whole lot worse. For the time being though, we need to get off this ice. I''m surprised I haven't broken down myself. The path Koda originally wanted to take has cracked now too, so I have to take us the other direction to get to the snow. I use my body to pull on Koda a little bit, directing him to the right. This time though, I allow myself to slow the pace that he originally set. If we thing about where we place our paws, and don't rush it, we should be onto land in 3 minutes, easily.

Tessa
I watch the look on Bear's face. How I wish I could help him. But I can't even reach him right now. I'm thankful for the slower pace, I think we all need a little break to calm our emotions. I pad as lightly as I can, distributing my weight. I nudge Fleck, with my muzzle to tell her it's okay. "Koda is just angry. You know how he is when things don't go to plan. I think we have it under control. Don't take any offense, he'll settle down soon, I hope."

"I'm sorry bear and Shasta" the two said.

Simiko followed Rome and yawned. "Are we lost? " she asked them all. " I think we are " she thought to herself

Jett sighed and followed them and yawned. "More snow" he said and looked around as he heard a horn.

[lykos brethren]

Felix was taken aback by the whole situation. He didn't know what to do, his limbs numb and frozen, as his eyes went glassy as if he were in a distant world. He ran with the pack following Rome and Koda the lead dogs, Felix being the swing dog. He stood by Shasta and froze as he felt the cracking ice. Felix's gut tightened and his sense were on high alert as he dug his claws in the ground. Felix growled and flattened his ears back against his cranium.

Azelea the youngest member of the group stood by Tessa in fright. Her own tan and white tail between her hind legs. she whined and lowered her head as she felt scared. Azelea's light blue eyes held fright and confusion. She didn't know what to think. She was just following the others and doing as she was told. She wasn't the one to be in charge.

Bear

Bear walked slowly, his emotions exploding inside of him but on the outside he was just blank looking. He began pulling the harness as hard as he could, digging his claws into the ice a bit to get a good grip, some of it shaved off into his paws freezing them numb, he couldn't even notice it though. Everything was numb to him at this time. He glanced back at the spot one last time where David had fallen, he felt like half of himself died with him. He looked ahead of him and through the heavy snow falling upon them, he could see land at a close distance. He looked over at Tessa while walking, she looked like she wanted to comfort him as soon as they got off the ice. He made a small moan over to her, just wanting her to look at him with those loving eyes again, he felt more vulnerable then he's ever been, he badly needed it.

Shasta

She watched as Bear was able to push himself and pull the sled away from their late owner's death spot. She was terribly sorry for her whole team, as they all took an extreme loss this day. Partnered with Felix on the sled she stood next to him, glancing over at him she saw how much of a complete confused wreck he was. She got closer and licked his cheek and nudged his shoulder gently. "Felix?" She spoke with a soft and affectionate voice to try to snap him out of the trance he was in. "Felix, we're gonna make it… we'll be okay." she said, although she doubted her own words. She put her head around his neck, like a hug and walked next to him, pacing him through it. She was also a mess but she only cared about the team, especially Felix.

Jett almost fell and he looked around, the harness didn't remake him. He kept walking until he broke free and looked at bear and jumped over and saw a nice cave. "Theirs a cave up here." He said and looked at it.

Felix was tense his legs not moving as he kept his paws firmly in the ice to stop himself from slipping. He felt something wet run along his cheek before something bumped into his shoulder, and then finally a voice was heard speaking his name. Felix shook his head and came back to reality, he looked at Shasta who was one who licked his cheek and nudged his shoulder. He felt a slight nod from his head before he his expressions on his face grew hard and emotionless. "I hope so....well....I will definitely fight to keep all of us safe and back home," he said with determination and looked around. He suddenly felt Shasta put her head around his neck in a way of a hug and relaxed the slightest bit. "Thanks, Shasta,"he said with a soft smile as his bright silvery blue eyes looks at her. He looked ahead at The lead dogs and began to walk following the leaders.

Azelea trembled with fright and shock. Her tail still between her hind legs before her gaze looked up from the ground. She saw the lead dogs moving along with the others, she walked beside Tessa and followed obediently, her energy drained but she refused to give on helping her pack. She cared for them and would put them before herself despite her being the youngest of the group.
