Pitch grazed under the protection of a tall pine tree, she wafted her tail and let her heat scent spread far and as freely as it cared, she wanted a stallion yes, but they would have to come to her first. It was spring and she could hear stallions calling in the distance, she wondered how many would be like her, draft. It had be strange but the place she had escaped to seemed to have more draft horses like her than she had expected which was making it easier for her to fit in. Memories flooded back to her of when she was a show horse, she had always heard stallion calls in the distance from her stables, the stallions that were show horses were always separated from the mares for some reason. As is the humans wanted to eliminate every thing they had left of true wild and nature, but that was then and this was now, she was no longer a pretty little show horse, she was wild, free and looking for a herd.

Tattoo scanned the area, in search of mares, this spring he had come very close to finding mares to build a herd, but not quite, the new heat scents excited him, he was happy to be wild and to try to build up a herd. He started to move up into a trot, keeping a look out the whole time for any mares that would be good for building a herd with. His left back hoof was becoming sore because his past owner had left a shoe on that he hadn't managed to walk off yet and was becoming loose and dragging on the ground and was hard to ignore. He kicked a nearby rock and it loosened but still a nail was strong in his hoof connecting the shoe onto him still.

Reflection looked fearfully out onto the horizon, her tail clamped between her legs, trying to hide any trace of her heat scent to protect her filly, she didn't know what stallions were out there, would they want Chrystal and her mother? Would they still want Chrystal when she was 2, and want her for breeding? Or would they not want Chrystal and try to hurt her? Who knew, but they needed a herd if they were going to survive, and although she hated to admit it, she would have to take a risk for the sake of survival, she nosed her filly forward and could sense that she was coming into heat herself also though she probably didn't know it yet, "Come on we must go find a herd" She explained trying to give away as little information about that as she could. But of course her filly was to curious and immediately asked, "Why?" Reflection tried to nudge her forward while talking, "So that we can be safe and have a big family, and survive the wild"

Chrystal cantered happily through the long grass, chasing a butterfly which she could easily reach because of her tall legs, she leaped up and snapped with her long yellow stained teeth, but the butterfly saw her first and fluttered high up into the sky and far away from any horses reach. She trotted up to her mothers side in hope of a nurse, but as soon as she flanked her side, her mother nudged her forward and hurried her onto move, "Why?" She asked and she explained it was so they could survive as wild horse. She didn't quite understand why they couldn't just live on a farm like they used to, but she remembered how bad things got when she got older, that was why they had to leave, but still why would a herd protect them. Her mother was to busy nudging her a long and probably wouldn't notice if she asked the question or not. Suddenly as she trotted further on a figure of a tall Clydesdale came into sight {Grima} , was this a herd? She tried to remember as bells were ringing in her head, no this is how to start a herd, perfect, "Hello," She called out excitedly, "Who are you?" She asked not showing any fear or aware of any danger which this stallion might bring if he rejected a filly.

Chemical galloped along shore of a river, happy to feel the wind tangling in his mane and the water spraying against his hooves, he could smell the heat scent of mares traveling in the wind and that excited him, this spring was his best chance of building his first herd in the wild, of siring foals and protecting them and there mothers, great! He though excitedly as he weaved his way past certain sharp rocks on the river edge, reeds tangling in his leg fur. If only he could find a mare now, well he wouldn't unless he started looking.

Summer snorted excitedly, as she was moving into full heat and was in eager search for any stallion that would sire her first foal for her, she snorted happily, knowing that spring would only make this easier, she was so happy to be wild. She swished her tail letting her heat scent swim off in any direction and catch all close by stallions attention. Her hooves thundered on sandy grass as she looked around excitedly for stallions, she could see a few silhouettes of horses in the distance so galloped excitedly towards them. Hopefully her strong heat scent would have caught there attention already and they should have noticed her enough to be intrested.
