Alessa looked down for a moment, then flicked her tail. "Well um... I'm sure she's awake by now." she said, "I need to go back and nurse Scarlet." She got onto her paws and headed back to the house.

"Of course you do." Ink lays back down.

Alessa stopped and looked back at Ink. "Yeah, I do. I plan on being a better mother to her than my mother." she said lowly, "No one said you couldn't come back to the house... Maria didn't ignore you on purpose. I don't know about your siblings, but Maria isn't mean like that."

"The only lucky thing I've had is having Mary adopt me." she scowled, "You might as well come back to the house with me."

"How about I don't!" She said running away in the deep forest. James came behind Alessa. "Leave her come on it's dark, and there's only A Few hours to sleep."

"I'm not concerned about sleep..." she mumbled, flicking her tail some, "I'm worried about Dahlia finding her." She then turned and headed back to the house.
