Cherry walked though the forest, her nose sniffing for signs of prey. She pricked her ears when she smelled the faint scent of deer. Her nose led her to a clearing where a small family of deer stood grazing on some grass. Her eyes locked on a fawn and she crept towards the slowly and silently. With quick precision she jumped at the closest fawn, bring in down to the ground as her teeth closed around its throat. Quickly she dragged it away before the buck could attack. Triuphantly she pranced back to camp and lay it down on the food pile.

Shadow awoke from the den; stretching out her long, black-furred body as her muscles rippled from underneath. As she entered the pack clearing, no one was in sight. She turned her head to the left and right, but saw not a single wolf. Padding out of pack den area, Shadow slunk away to the border and sat down under a pine tree. She gazed at the hillside, waiting patiently for any sign of another wolf in a neighboring territory. A black male loner had been spotted around the area, and she wanted to catch a glimpse of him.

Rebel walked through the forest, muttering things to himself. His black pelt unvisible under the shady trees, he then stomped through a clearing where everyone could see him. Passing Shadow without even noticing her, he was still muttering things to himself.

Shadow held back a growl as a scent drifted her way. Loners should not be this close to the border. However, his scent smelled very nice to her so she kept herself quiet inside. Her mid was conflicted, for she was a loyal pack member but a deeper instinct was telling her to go towards the male. She watched as the male walked by, every ouch of strength in her legs was not enough to contain her curiousity. She took one step forward, and a leaf crunched loudly beneath her toes.
