(Maybe)

Caleb turned down another side-trail, "That kinda sucks," He said, sympathy softening his voice. The trail they were on now lead uphill, through a pine forest. This was Caleb's favourite trail. It lead up into the mountains to a great lookout.

Nicole shut the gate and signed the clipboard. She gave a nod and turned to look at the stallion, "Yeah, he's pretty rough," She muttered and walked back to the fence.

herro der mes amis, i am believe. proud canadian, ottb loving, colt breaking, nfr dreaming. pictured on the left is my racetrack reject, landofmakebelieve, aka molly, moo, shmoo, whatever name comes to mind x] molly is a 10 year old canadian bred thoroughbred mare, and standing at about 16.2hh, we look a little wonky when we chase cans, but la dee da that's alright. molly and i tried several disciplines. i tried desperately to get her to catch on to dressage, but unfortunately, she still has the race bred mind and is all go. however, together we found a discipline which we could both enjoy; western gaming. this summer we started travelling to barrel races locally. our current record on a standard size pattern is 17.314 and we are improving with every run. and to all the low budget barrel racers out there such as myself, a word of advise; chin up darling. you may not have a million dollar mount under your butt, but you and your crossbred, rejected, hard headed, rescue baby can do it. you know why? cause those girls sitting in their custom circle y's, upon shiny, top of the line mounts are full of themselves. they think there's no way they can lose. they get cocky. stay humble, believe in yourself, in your horse, and most importantly ride your little heart out.

Lauren)
"Meh what are you going to do? It only took me a box of girl guide cookies and 45 minutes to get over that boy!" she said with a smile. Nemo tossed his head, and Lauren went down to stroke his neck. Hey, I am available now! she thought to herself.

Caleb gave a soft chuckle and leaned forward as Grazie climbed a steep slope, "So where was he from?" Caleb asked as he halted his mare to wait for Nemo and Lauren to climb up.

Lauren)
She urged Nemo up the slope as she said "Well, I only moved to Alberta a few months ago, but I used to live in Australia, so he was my boyfriend back there. We tried to continue our relationship, but it didn't work out for him, so he broke up with me."

"Sorry to hear it," Caleb nudged Grazie onward again, "I never really got too far into relationships. The girl would find out that I'm so devoted to horses and turn and run," He chuckled again.

"Haha my ex was TERRIFIED of horses. Like he had a horse phobia or something! All my past boyfriends have either been terrified of horses or hate animals!!! Curses to those Aussie boys!" Lauren said with a chuckle. "You seem like the kind of guy that ladies dig, you cowboy you!" she teased

"Oh they do," Caleb flashed her a grin, "Up until I do something stupid, like bronc riding. Then they say they won't see me get hurt and leave," Finally, they reached the lookout. An opening in the trees showed a clif. Caleb dismounted and Grazie dropped her head to graze. He walked over to the cliff and sighed. From here, all of the ranch could be seen.

Lauren laughed. "I used to ride a pony called Mary, and when I asked her to canter, she would try I buck me off. But I managed to stay on her for the 3 months I rode her. Wow it is beautiful up here!" she said as she sat down. She closed her eyes and lay down. Lauren sighed slowly.

Caleb sat beside her. Grazie nickered and bumped Nemo's shoulder with her muzzle.

"So Mr. Bronco Ladies Man, tell me about yourself." she said to him as she sat up. She gazed down at the ranch. She could see Indie running around outside in her pasture
