He sat and flicked his bushy tail. "We should get to know each other." He tilted his head. She'd be a nice friend. Maybe, he couldn't help thinking, if it got far enough, even a mate.

He wrapped his tail around his paws and sighed happily. "It's a nice day."

Sox laughed and nudged her with his shoulder. "Stop 'yup'ping me!" He flicked his orange tail playfully against her leg.
