Chill sighed and curled up around the pup, sharing the warmth of his own body. "Would you like to come and stay with us at the Pack of Clear Waters?"

Storm looked at Chill and back at the pup. "There's no need to cry." She said softly. "We will help you." She looked at the pup through soft eyes.

"I-i got to wait. For momma to wake up..." She pointed with her nose to her mother's lifeless body

Storm flinched. "Your mother won't wake up, little one." She said sadly.

She growled at storm and struggled away from chill. "You are wrong!" She ran and nudged her mother. "Wake up momma!"
