She didn't look up from the herbs. "We need more of everything but poppy seeds." She said evenly to her apprentice. "We have to stock up before winter."

She shrugged. "I think it was a good choice. She'd be a better Beta than me." She said to Nita, then looked over at Moon's den. "I think Moon and her might be talking about something important... Better not interrupt. Why don't you come hunting with me real quick? By the time we're back she should be done."

Guy scampered back over to the Nursery and began to clean it out once more.

He shrugged as he sat down opposite of her. "I didn't just choose you just because you talked me into it, you know." He said to her. "I chose you because you really were the best dog for the job. The Baron is a good dog- but he thinks of fighting before he thinks of strategy. Plus I needed a Beta who'd probably be alive once I died, and The Baron is nearly double my age." Moon scratched at his ear. "Then there is Aris. She is a great dog, but to tell the truth, I know nothing about her. I've been in this Pack since birth, and I've shared maybe a few sentences with her. She tends to keep to herself, and that's not what a Beta should do. Plus I need to at least have an idea of what she'd do in a stressful situation." Moon shrugged once again. "No matter who I picked, there'd be dogs upset about the choice."

She looked over at Bruiser. "Care to go on another short patrol? Or would you rather go hunt with the rest of the dogs?" She asked the doberman, head tilted.

Blinking, Calista decided that it might be a good time now to practice her fighting skills. Narrowing her eyes, she glanced back at Moon before backing out of his den. "I'm going to go practice my fighting moves, I need to improve them a little bit since I'm the beta now" She said with a small laugh. "Uhm, you can come if you want" She added in.

Nodding the fae backed out of the den. "Shall we go and collect some supplies?" She said as she glanced around camp. Poppy seeds were important, but there were other supplies that were just as important. Hopefully the herbs they needed weren't dead and could still be gathered. It would be bad if they were short on certain supplies. Skylark yawned and shook her pelt. Sakura might want her to do it alone, or Sakura might want to go alone Sky thought, wondering which the fae would choose as she looked up at the clouds.

Quinn smiled, although Lucas seemed quite anxious she wondered if he wanted to leave as badly as she did. Narrowing her eyes she decided not to ask as she waited patiently for anyone else to come. Whats taking them so long? she thought, her fur pricked with annoyance. "If you don't want to wait, we can go now" Quinn grumbled, tilting her head slightly.

She stood up as well. "Yes, and we should hurry. It's past midday; I'm sure Moon wants to have that feast at dusk." She walked out of the den, past Skylark. "Let's go to the river and get some Borage Leaves first, then we can stop and get some Chervil on the way back."

Apollo

Leaves and twigs crunched beneath his paws as he weaved in and out of trees with ease. Even though he wasn't too fond of other dogs, Apollo loved the forest, his home, the place where he could always seek solitude. It made him happy. A small smile sneaked onto the husky's face as he padded towards the Northern Border. He couldn't help but wonder if that loner was still around, what was his name? Koda. Probably had re-entered to take his pathetic kill back. Apollo huffed at the thought as he continued to scan around.

Lucas

Quinn had read his mind. Or stomach for that matter, as he could hear it growl furiously. She seemed to not want to wait either though. "They'll know to catch up," Lucas said with a nod before getting to his paws, his eyes gleaming with energy as he waited for her to lead the way.

"Well good luck then, we can talk again after the feast if theres anything else you'd like to say" She added in before trotting outside of the den and looking for anyone to practice fighting with. There was still some time before dusk, so she had plenty of time to kill. Hopping down from the rocks and passing the kill pile she shook herself before seeing how most of the dogs had already left for patrols or hunting. Narrowing her eyes she realized she'd probably end up practicing by herself. Calista started to head out of the camp, hoping someone would offer to join her.

Nodding, Skylark led the way towards the river. It wasn't too far of a distance, but as Sakura said there would be a feast tonight at dusk. So it would be best to hurry. Padding on a worn-out path towards the river she could see the borage leaves, some where dead but there was still enough left for a good stock-up. Yawning, the fae took a quick drink before she started to gather the leaves.

Quinn smiled, her eyes lit up in the excitement of going on a hunt. She jogged through the forest, wanting to move fast but not too fast as to make a lot of noise. Her black pelt aided her in every season except winter, and she could easily slink through the shadows unnoticed. Being light on her feet was a different story, if she cracked a twig it was game over so the fae knew to step as lightly as possible. Slowly down for a second or two, Quinn lifted her snout to the air and sniffed for any prey but it was all stale, nothing fresh. "Smell anything?" She asked Lucas, turning around and facing him. Her ears perked with interest, maybe he'd smell something that she didn't.

Apollo

His tail lightly wagged as he sniffed along the rugged northern terrain, not scenting anything thereatening in particular. Even if there were predators lurking nearby, the confident brute was never one to worry as he was sure his superior fighting skills would see him through. The air grew cooler, the more north he went, and eventually he could see his own breath, but to his dissapointment, the snow still hadn't arrived yet. Winter needed more time. He sighed as he held his gaze on the mountains, before all of a sudden bolting off around the border.

Lucas

The air howled past his face as he loped after her, smiling at her enthusiasm. He was not intent on being quiet though, only until Quinn started to slow down. He scented the air as a breeze flew past them, allowing him to catch a faint whiff of a deer not too far off. "How does some deer sound?" he asked and wiggled his eyebrows playfully at her before stalking forwards. He flicked his tail, motioning for her to follow, it was only a few trees away...

She sighed as she followed Skylark. Sometimes she honestly thought that Skylark forgot she was the apprentice, not the mentor. Usually it was the mentors who led the apprentices places. Now it seemed Skylark just took charge whenever they did something. Is there really a point in me staying the Healer..? Skylark is fully trained, and I'm only four. I still have awhile before I pass, so should I really make her remain an apprentice until then? She sighed and began to gather the herbs while Skylark drank.

Moon walked out of his den and leaped from the rock-shelf outside of it. He looked around camp to see who had already gone out, then went ahead. I wonder if there are anymore deer... He thought as he walked.

When she finished her drink, Skylark turned around and started helping Sakura gather the leaves. They were still pretty fresh, so she gathered as many as she could. "Should we make a pile of them here and then pick them up on our way back?" The fae questioned. They might need to make a few trips, depending on how much Chervil was still growing. As she finished gathering her share, Sakura was almost done as well.

Quinn smiled, deer was always fun to catch. Nodding she slunk down and followed him, as her preference she stayed in the shadows and circled around the deer letting him go straight for it. If he didn't take it down, she would be able to grab it if it tried to run or at least she hoped. Her ears perked as she padded softly over the forest, and her tail twitched slightly as she waited for Lucas to pounce.

His paws gliding along the soft grass, Lucas intently eyed the deer, waiting for the right opportunity to strike. He smiled as the deer resumed to graze on the grass and without hesitation, he launched himself onto its back at a funny angle, just enough to where he could grab at its neck. Despite the attempted kicks and bucks the deer swiftly threw, he held on tightly and could feel the animal start to weaken as it struggled over to where Quinn was waiting.
