Roman shook out his mane, keeping a close eye on his beloved mare, Nova. A beautiful sight for him. Nova was the first mare who'd actually joined his herd willingly. A real keeper, Roman had thought several times. The stallion's nostrils flared as he turned his head to look at the mare. Seeing her uneasiness, Roman walked over and gently nosed her neck. "Are you alright, Nova?" he questioned. He really cared about Nova. Every single mare he once had he had snaked. But then they would soon be snaked again by other, more experienced stallions. Roman looked at her, respect and sincerity in his eyes.

The speckled mare grazed contently, her ears perked and swiveling to and fro. Renaissance raised her head slowly, having her fill. She gazed around contently, seeing no near beings. The grass that surrounded her brushed against her periodically. So far, she hadn't seen any stallions. It was a bit odd to her. Normally stallions flocked towards any mare in season. Renaissance gave a soft huff, trying to spread the scent of her heat by swishing her tail around.

The chestnut pinto mare released her stage-2 heat scent and nickered, looking over at Titan, who was nearby.

[Aries .]

Drawing in a deep breath, Titan took in the strong heat scent of a nearby mare. Scratch that, two mares, both in stage two it appeared. Titan curled his upper lip back, beginning to lead his herd in the direction of the lone mare. He did take note of one of his own mares in season; it was Cherry. Titan trotted over to her, nibbling gently at her mane as he continued along towards the lone mare. Both their scents were nearly infatuating, but he kept his head straight.

Nova pricked her ears, a voice filling her head. She looked up to see her lead stallion, Roman Coliseum. Of course, he went by a much simpler title of Roman amongst the herd. Or, at least when there was a herd. Before all Nova's friends had been snaked away. She had mourned over each one for days after their capture, but eventually learned to forget and move on. Taking in his words, he was asking if she was doing alright. Nova gently nodded her head, letting out a soft nicker. "Of course, Roman. I might ask you the same," she responded, ears relaxed as a wave of reassurance washed over her simply from his presence.

Nuria let out the scent of her stage 2-heat, and looked around at the horses in her herd, and was almost tempted to giggle when Tita ignored Cherry, then she remembered, she had far less of a chance, so she ignored that sense.

((But I don't think he ignored her?)) Cherry swished her tail and trotted where he was leading her.

his name is fido. he stands seventeen point two hands at his withers, with a stocky build. although he enjoys a good chase, he knows the importance of defense and offense. he is tall and quick, and he knows how to use that to his advantage. fido is in his prime at age six. he has a high drive for mares, and will do nearly anything to snake or court them.

Black mane flapping in the wind and hooves pounded on the dry earth. Ivy whinnied happy to be wild and free. The long grass waved against her knees as she slowed from her gallop. With an easy trot she took a deep breath smelling the flower scented air. Tossing her head she kept on, looking for a source of water.

Lone Star Ranger

The blue roan stallion walked calmly along. He had just drank his share of water and was now moving along. Ranger had a mouthful of grass in his mouth but was not holding still. Mares were in season now. Ranger was young, he had to get started early. Hopefully there would still be some lone mares. Maybe this year he could hold his own against other stallions. He neighed, shaking his head. Ranger could smell an in season mare close by (Renaissance). So he continued on in that direction.

Harmony picked gently at the grass beneath her hooves. She was surrounded by tall trees, keeping cool in their shade. It was a small groove of trees but it was enough. The chestnut mare turned her eyes up. They squinted against the yellow-green sunlight filtering through the canopy. She flicked her tail, ignoring the scent that accompanied it.

Titan continued towards the scent, coming up over a hill that overlooked a dipping valley. He could see the lone mare below, Renaissance. Of course, Titan didn't know her name. Since she appeared to be alone, he decided to trey to befriend her and talk her into the herd, rather than snake her and force her in. He would have to be pretty persuasive, considering she was only in stage two. She wasn't nearly as desperate as she'd be in stage five, and there could be other stallions on her trail.
