Comet lifted his head, hearing communication between the coyotes of the forest. What pests those were. They couldn't bring down an elk like himself, not by a longshot, but they still were annoying with all the crying, howling and barking they did. Was it really necessary? The wolves seemed to get by fine without such noise.

Odyssey heard the communication of other wolves, and lazily got up out of his cool den to see what was going on. Not too far away from his den, he saw two wolves, a male and female, talking. He couldn't hear what they were saying, so he got closer. The two did not seem to notice him. Maybe they were mates, but it wasn't that season yet, and they didn't have pups. Odd. "Hello," he said slowly. "Don't worry, you're not on my territory, I'm a lone wolf, but what are you two doing here?" He asked.



Once her stomach was full, Anka lifted her head and took a good look around. Her ears perked up, she could hear wolves communicating, which was a potential danger since she was a lone doe without a herd to protect her, but other than that there were no dangers. She moved quietly to the forest to hide, but while she was moving she saw an elk. Maybe he would protect her, maybe not, but he didn't look like he had a herd or was bothered by the wolves. She continued walking towards the forest.

"Hm?" Comet flicked his ears, erect and alert as they picked up what sounded like hoofsteps. Ever weary of bison and moose, sometimes other bull elk, Comet called out. "Hello? Who's there?" He got into a ready position, just in case something came charging out at him.

Anka's eyes widened as the elk noticed her and called out to her, he seemed angry. She backed away from him, and little afraid, but then slowly started walking towards him. Elk and deer didn't normally interact with each other, but maybe he'd be friendly. It wouldn't hurt to talk to him.

{ Just so you know, I have read that elk are a member of the deer family, as are white-tailed deer and moose. I've kind of been treating your male elk like a male deer, I'm not sure if elk live in herds or interact with deer, but I'm assuming that they do because they are closely related with deer. I'll have to do more research on it, I guess, but since this is only a roleplay and is just for fun, please don't expect me to know a lot about either species or be realistic about their behavior. Anyways, in case you wanted to know, elk and deer can't breed either, they're too closely related. }

Yes, that's why it's easy to confuse red deer for elk. Elk are basically just oversized deer, along with moose, caribou, etc. Red Deer and Elk are the only deer/elk compatible breeding pair, though it's pretty rare. }}

Upon the doe emerging from the trees, Comet relaxed quite a bit. Even if she had a herd nearby, the head buck likely wouldn't be ballsy enough to take on a full grown bull elk. "Oh, hello there," he said, his voice much more calm and relaxed than originally.

embarrassingly. Snorting in annoyance, he reared up on the wolf, teeth bared. " Watch where you're going," Radulf shook his pelt then

rose back tall. "Next time, I'll speak with only my teeth and claws."
