Stray Dogs - Accepting

Vixen looked confused. "This is where we are staying for the night, it's one of the safest places we can be at, dogcatcher wont find us, the bridge will help keep off the rain, its open so we can't get cornered, there's water and the only bad things are the train and the coyotes." she said ears moving as she listened to something in the grass.

Sam looked towards the sound in the grass "i'll be right back," he said, and went down onto his belly in a hunting position. He crept forward towards the sound before taking off after it into the tall grass.

"I-I don't know. I.. I just. I don't know." Korra stuttered. She didn't know what to do when it came to other dogs. "I just haven't.. haven't been around other dogs very much." She exclaimed.

Koda frowned in disbelief, "It's cold and not comfortable. What happened to soft rugs and a heater?" He asked. "This stray stuff isn't going to be as easy as I thought." He said, "I might have bitten off more than I could chew." He sighed. Once the noise in the grass started to process through his head he darted behind a boulder and peeked over. "What is it?" He whispered shaking in his paws.

"So your the shy type." She asked frowning a bit. "Well, I guess you win. Just give me a good howl if you get in trouble." She barked turning away and walking towards a small park. She dug under the gate and lied down in the tunnel. A cool breeze swayed through her fur as the crickets sang. The night sky was beautiful; the stars shines brightly and the specks of dark purple showed to dark blue. Honey sighed, she wanted a mate- though she didn't at the same time. Her tunnel was lonely at night. Suddenly a group of older humans which the old humans called 'teenagers' broke her train of thought. There was a group of the vicious humans, they were sitting in a circle talking. Some were girls, but they were mostly boys. Making a sound could be fatal to her, so she stayed silent and didn't move a mussel.

Korra slowly shied away. It wasn't her way with dogs. She wasn't good with them. She didn't know how to make friends, so she slowly made her way over to a small puddle and began to lap the dirty water up. Her throat was dry, very much.

Vixen looked confused. "Heater and rug?" she watched him freak out over the noise and tilted her head in confusion. "Why are you scared of a Squirrel?" she asked tilting her head cutely. "Haven't you ever smelled a squirrel before?" she asked. "Your not going to freak over eating it are you?" she asked laying down and waiting for Sam to come back with food.

"A squirrel- Ha! I'm not afraid of any squirrels." He said trotting out. "I wasn't scared either, I was just taking precautions." He lied wagging his tail a bit. "Eating it will be a bit challenging, I'm used to kibble or table scraps." He muttered quietly. He heard a howl in the far distance, though it still got to him. He sighed and bowed his head. "Today has been pretty hectic don't you think." He asked sitting down.

Vixen tilted her head. "No, not relay, it was a pretty quite day today, well other then you, it was quite normal." she laid down and closed her eyes before she heard Sam coming back, and from the smell of it, he had dinner. She hoped to her feet as Sam walked back out of the tall grass.

Sam dropped his catch and licked his lips. "I got dinner" he said wagging his tail a bit. He had eaten a bit before he came back, it was like that with him and Vixen, who ever caught it ate their part there and then before bringing it back, it was easier that way, not fighting over food. He got a drink and laid down closing his eyes and quickly falling asleep.

He was curious about her past and wanted to know how she ended up out here in the first place. He looked ahead as she spoke, until she said how her mother died. He looked at her with pricked ears and sorry eyes. He moved closer to her and touched his muzzle to her neck comfortingly, though was sure not to touch where the rope had been around her neck, in case it still hurt. "I'm so sorry that happened to you." he told her softly. He couldn't even imagine what kind of pain she must have had to endure, especially the way her mother passed.

She saw an alley up ahead and looked over her shoulder as she turned to make sure no one was watching or following her. As she turned she felt herself run into something. The scent of dogs filled her nose and she immediately crouched down though instinctively turned so her belly was facing away from the dog. "I-i'm so sorry, i-i wasn't watching w-where i was going." she said then looked up seeing another fea and with her two pups. "A-are they yours?" she asked her, feeling more comfortable knowing this fea had pups too, even though her own weren't born yet.

After speaking of my story I looked infront of me. Two sides seemed to hit me. One side, freedom. The other side, closed, and I was in the middle. Confused little me. I let out a sigh as Nero nosed me."Well...now you know..." I murmered sadly, as we all walked. Though, I didn't tell Nero about the scars from the human. I kicked a stone as we walked together.
