Saphire's eyes flicked down at the cub as it whined, then flicked up at the wolf.
"I don't know, its been a long while since I've had to take care of a cub, by the way, sorry for growling, you never know," Saphire said.

Tamsin was taking a stroll when he heard the chattering of small teeth and two snarls. A females voice spoke asking if a pup was okay. He trotted towards the noise and found Saphire with a small pup, curled around her. The pups fur was matted to her body from her fall in the water. The beta approached Saphire, "The pup will be okay as long as her body temperature is kept up, and her fur constantly groomed." He quickly glanced at the two wolves, then started back towards camp.

"Okay," Saphire murmmered.
She started to groom the pup.

"It's fine. It is a dangerous world out here. Did she fall into the river?" Kekere asked, sitting herself down in the snow. Her question was answered when Tamsin showed up. The fae bowed her head slightly and raised it in respect.

Saphire continued grooming the small pup. She decided that she had stretched her vocal cords enough, and didn't want to say anything more. After all, being social for long periods of time (five minutes) could get tiring.

The pup tried to stop chattering, since it would warm her up. After a little while, she stopped chattering and was feeling warmer and much more strength crawl up her, so she opened her eyes to see a gray and white wolf with brown eyes. "Y-you s-saved me." She said, still feeling a bit cold.

Saphire sighed, so much for being silent, with all of this talking she was going to strain her vocal chords, but then again if she did strain her vocal chords, maybe she would have an excuse to be completely silent
"Yeah I guess, but it was the right thing to do," She said, looking at the cub, "Could you tell me your name? I'm Saphire."

Kekere padded off towards her den when Saphhire started to groom the pup. She was glad that the pup was saved from the freezing water. Once she got to her den, she went in and laid down with her paws stretched out in front of her.

She looked down at her paws, trying to think of a name. Her parents never gave her a name, so she came up with one. "I'm, uh, Star." She said, feeling that she was really warm now.
