"Long ago, many foxes lived in a mountain range called the White Springs. The mountain range was named after the natural springs located in the range. The foxes stayed away from each other, for the most part, and there was little strife. Prey was bountiful and water was, of course, in no shortage.
"One day, the foxes heard a mournful howl. This was not an uncommon happening, but somehow this howl was different. It was eerie and caused even the bravest fox to shudder. More howls joined in, forming an ominous song that rang throughout the mountains. Huge grey clouds filled the sky and a cold wind blew. A feeling of being watched and a desire to hide overcame every fox in the mountains. Mothers held their kits close and those who were outside of their dens ran for safety, not caring if they left prey behind. Suddenly, huge black wolves with red eyes that glowed faintly leaped into the dens, killing every fox they saw. Few foxes survived the attack. The attacks continued and the White Springs fox population dwindled. The mountains were eventually renamed the Black Springs because of the wolves. The few foxes that survived decided to do something very uncommon - they formed a pack. The pack of fox were able to defend themselves against the wolf attacks and they learned many useful tricks.

My Foxes
Fox Name: Akina (uh-keen-uh or ah-keen-uh, whichever you prefer)
Fox Species: Culpeo Fox

Personality: Akina always put her pack first. She'd die before seeing one of her pack members injured. Because of this she doesn't always think through her actions. She dislikes being offered help from anyone. Not many things anger Akina, but trying to help her is certainly one way to get snapped at. Disobeying her orders is another. She's rather suspicious but she can usually tell who is trustworthy. Akina had a strong sense of right and wrong that helps her give fair judgment.

History: Akina's mother was the lead hunter and her father was the lead warrior. It is unusual for those two wolves to mate, but in this case it happened. Akina recieved some of the best aspects of both the hunter and the warrior. She had great potential as either rank but preferred the thought of being a warrior. She became lead warrior when she was 37 moon-cycles old because her father had died and she was chosen as the best replacement. Her mother was killed while hunting less than 1 moon-cycle later. 12 moon-cycles after he promotion, the leader died the new leader choose her as sari. 21 moon-cycles afterwards, at 70 moon-cycles old, Akina became the leader.

Personality: In general, Thorn is kind to everyone. He is a little gruff and ubrupt sometimes as he sees little to no reason to sugarcoat things or tell only part of the truth, though his intentions are usually good. He holds grudges and will do anything to get even with someone, even if it means murder, though he does his best to prevent others from noticing this aspect of his personality. He respects most of his superiors and acknowledges their higher rank. He is very ambitious and would do almost anything to become a healer. Thorn is smart and sly, and he uses those things to his advantage when he can.
