Personality:
Dakota is a friendly, gentle and polite mare, always taking into consideration others feelings and past. She is a hard worker and always tries to make the herd a better place, by either trying to make everyone feel welcome or by helping others. She is more of a listener than a talker and is great with giving advice to others when she can. Dakota loves the rain and is an active mare, always moving or doing something. She is not an overly aggressive mare but is protective of her friends and herd and so can turn into quite a fighter if the situation arises. Those who really get to know Dakota realize it takes a lot to shake her trust in her friends, but equally that it takes her a longer time to get over if that trust is broken.

History:
Dakota was born to a high achieving family, with her parents being distinguished jumpers and show horses. She grew up to always having to live up to her parents high standards and began training as soon as she was able. For years her days were filled with training and exercises that at the end of the day would leave her mentally and physically exhausted. The only thing that shone a light in her life was her grandparents. Her grandfather was born in the wild and was captured, the only reason he stayed was because he met Dakota's grandmother. He would always tell her about the wonder of the wild and the freedom it held, which was what captured Dakota's heart the most. Freedom. When Dakota turned 3, she was sold to another owner and was lead towards a horse trailer, in a fit of fright she tore loose her lead and jumped over the nearby short fence and kept running until her legs hurt. After a short while she manged to get the halter off and headed deeper into the wilderness hoping to find a herd to start her new life with.
