Viah padded over the deserted fields, not sure what he was looking for, but he saw Griffin so he padded over to him.

He dejectedly walked back to the camp. His head was down and his tail was scoring a shallow rut in the dry dirt. His head seemed to be filled with a numbing static that this second tragedy had caused. He was so numb to everything but the piercing pain in his heart that he didnt even notice when he stepped on a large thorn that embedded itself in his already injured paw. He made it back to camp just as they were dragging Melodys body to the graveside.
