Atlas;
The sweet scent of swear wafted through the male's nostrils as he ran on, hard, fast. His petal pink longie was lolling from his mouth and saliva dropped off onto the snow. 'Hurry!' He shouted to his team turning around. But there was nobody there, they had all vanished, instead there was a trail of blood in their wake and a huge chunk of missing ice. Atlas' jaw dropped, his ears plastered back as he watched the massive snowy figure of a polar bear emerge from the sea underneath. It came for him. Waking up with a jolt in a heavy sweat. He couldn't remember much of his dream, but he knew where he was now. He was in the kennels before one of the biggest races of his life, this would determine if he stayed in the group although he knew he'd be able to win. Padding up to the front of the cage he pressed his muzzle inbetween the bars, craning his head to try to see Moose, of any of the other dogs on his team.
Moose;
The young pup could barely sleep last night, and fell asleep in the early hours of the morning. His excitement was getting the best of him, and adrenaline was coursing through his veins. He had barely eaten and couldn't bring himself to, but managed to down a few mouthfuls of the dog biscuits his musher had left him, and drank the water he had been given that morning. Licking his lips his made circles inside his cage, scenting the air. He could tell that Atlas had woken up, but didn't take much notice. Moose's eyes scanned around the kennel nervously. He was only a team dog, he could easily be replaced so he had to secure his place in the Hurricane team.
Haiku;
The she dog had been awake for a while, silently watching the other dogs getting up. He could taste their nervousness like a tangible force in the air. She licked her paw, her eyes scanning over the kennels. She was ready for her race, she would help win her race. Her tail wagged softly against her dog bed. Her tongue licked around each pawpad one by one. She wasn't worried at all, she knew the trail being run today like the pack of her paw.
