Vera watches the stallion approach and her ears pun back flat to her head, pressing against her neck. The whites of her eyes are showing as her long legs prance nervously. Vera moves backwards in a fluid motion, like water rolling over rocks, but she doesn't get as far as the hypothetical water would. Vera is watching her dark grey sister, who is entirely calm and collected. The larger mare blows out air in a harsh snort, telling Artemis it's time to flee. This stallion was exposing his teeth and looked mean... And Vera doesn't want anything to do with him. Which is a sentiment that her nervous behavior is making perfectly clear.

Artemis's head remains down and she continues to graze even as her keen ears hear the stallion approach. She doesn't even bother to glance over, instead she ignores him entirely even up to the point where she can feel his hot breath on her silky coat. Artemis picks her head up when he noses her, the mare's eyes narrowing slightly at his exposed teeth. She remains calm, though, knowing that her sister and herself have little hope of running away with him already being so close. However, Artemis doesn't like his attitude. She huffs in disapproval after eyeing him up and then lowers her head, grabbing another mouthful of grass. The small mare expects him to get insulted by her dismissing behavior, but quite frankly, the only way to see who a stallion truly is would be to watch them while they're mad. And Artemis's family in general has a talent for making other horses mad.

She doesn't want to get dragged in to the drama of snaking and stealing, instead she just wants to be left alone. Well, at the moment she does. Maybe when she's further in her heat she'll emerge from solitude temporarily, but that would be very temporarily. The mare steps forward and lowers her head to dip her muzzle in the pool before her. She drinks deeply before lifting her head again to scan the area for other horses. So far all is clear.

She'll annoy the stallion and lead mare until she is thrown from the herd in which case she will leave happily to find a new herd. The mare is very protective and brave and will look after her herd brilliantly willing to challenge anything to protect her foals or get what she wants, be it mare or stallion or predator, or even human. stubborn. if Duchess does not want to do something, she will not do it. If she wants something, it will be hers, there is no way to avoid Duchess getting what she wants. She will stop at nothing to get what she wants. She is cruel and harsh, only joining a stallion whom she believes, is good enough for her, until then, she'll dance from stallion to stallion chasing each away until she gets the right one. She is like her brother Deaths Grim. A cruel harsh character whom won't give in to anyone.

He's proud, he's cruel, he's dominant and possessive. He's impatient and rude and arrogant. He's not a fool, he's a violent stallion and he gets what he wants when he wants. Nothing will stand in his way, if he see's a mare, she'll be his. Grim has little to no Patience and if a mare steps out of line, he'll snap at them and put them back in line. He's an incredibly light sleeper, thinking his mares may get stolen or wonder to far and so he doesn't sleep heavy and doesn't sleep much at all. If any stallion gets to close to his trophies, he'll get violent and possessive and chase them off. He's secretive and holds dearly to his mares, deep down caring greatly for them. His actions show opposite. He can't handle his mares being taken from him and goes slightly insane when they are taken from him, but his love and affection for his mares is hidden and on the extreme rare occasion may he show affection to his mares.

He had a harsh nature which he uses to punish those whom deserve so, he is not always a violent young male but of sorts. He can be very docile and easy going and has abit of a hip hop personalty when he is in a good mood, getting along with anyone and everyone, [except for stallions and other stallions colts] and makes a brilliant friend. His friendship fades the minute something annoys him, and it is not hard to annoy him. He hates mares who tease and has put several hoof marks on a mares side because of it, he can't handle it, mostly because when she teases him, her scent goes through the area alarming other studs of their presence. His methods have reason. He's not exactly cocky, but he has a stubborn arrogant side which gives him the upper hand in fighting, he's stubborn enough to use his ways to confuse the other male, it has worked a few times. He never confuses himself, but has no problem confusing others, his words often making no sense to no one but himself.
History:
His father was a proud young brat who was quite cocky wanting all the mares and teasing all the other males that he had the most mares challenging the other studs for their mares. Within time he payed hte price and lost his mares to a much younger male who beat the 18 year old stallion in a fair fight. He was a two year old colt at this point and so the moment he and the herd settled, he and the other colts were chase out. expected. He and his brothers remained together for another 3 years, and now 5 years of age Ace left to find a herd, he gained two mares that year and had two foals the next gaining another three lone mares. When he turned 7 a 13 year old stallion won a fight, not much for the younger male so he soon gave in, his colts were to young to be snaked away so they were slaughtered his fillies kept by the stud to breed. He spent the next few years with bachelor herds working on his fighting skills until he challenged the lead bachelor and beat him taking the role of lead, which he ditched at the age of 10 and moved onto another band seeking a proper herd this year.

Remedy is a sweet natured mare, she's very adoring and caring and very sweet, loving and caring. She's got an amazing nature and makes a brilliant friend. She's not dominant, but she's not docile, she refuses to be at the bottom, but refuses to be at the top of the ranking. She wants to be in the middle, is that so much to ask? She is quiet and reserved usually keeping to herself and not talking much unless she must. Remedy could happily live her life in a huge herd, or all alone, but either way, she'd be happy -to a degree- She's a horrible mother and doesn't care for her foals, she'll have them if her stallion asks but won't show them affection of any sort. She'll feed them and care for them, but won't be loving or affectionate. After about two weeks of it, her foals get used to it. She lets her stallion do as he pleases, and doesn't care if he mates, how he mates, what he does to her, and will do what he wants how he wants and when he wants.
