Overview

The Sun Sets in the West is a semi literate wild horse role play. Most herds consist of 3-25 mares per herd and a few foals. Once the colts reach age two they will be driven out to find and create their own herd. Bachelor stallions are constantly on the move to find mares and start a herd so a band stallion must keep an eye out for younger colts. This role play takes place in Alpine, Wyoming. The terrain can be difficult if one moves up higher into the mountains but the grasslands contain soft ground and water holes.

Terrain-

There are about 200 acres that the herds roam about which includes the valley which there are grasslands, then the mountains and patches of forests, and two waterholes where the herds gather in the summer to cool off.

Season-

Spring- This season is the most comfortable for all the horses. Temperatures start to rise from the chilling winter cold to a warm and cool temperature. Many foals are born during this period of time which also means bachelors are on the lookout for mares and foals o steal.
Summer- Summer can be very hot and tolling on many of the horses. Most of the horses hang out around the water hole and the horses are in a sluggish mode. Many bachelors are lurking about because summer has offered a great mating season.
Autumn- The cool wind breeze brings the horses back to life and can create drama throughout herds because the cool temperatures have brought them back to life. Many horses migrate to different areas to prepare for the winter.
Winter- Winter can be harsh and gruesome. Wind chills cause the horses to migrate to forests for protection from the bone chilling wind. Ice, sleet, and snow usually shows up three times every winter.

Rules-

1) All admin rules apply.
2) No cursing.
3) Fade to black when needed.
4) All mares start off by themselves and all stallions start off by themselves.
5) We need more mares then stallions so make one stallion and two mares.
6) This is a semi-lit role play so you must type a detailed paragraph for every post and your form must be semi-lit.
7) We understand writers block but you can not type short sentences to so called "move the role play on faster".
8) You CANNOT be your own mate.
9) Put "TSSitW" in other if you read the rules.
10) If you start a herd you must PM me the stallions' name and the mares and foals name and every time it is updated PM me, the person to PM me will be the stallion.
11) You cannot start as a foal.

physical characteristics:Sorrelish brown covering his entire body with a mocha colored mane and tail with two front white socks and a star on his forehead.
personality: Twist can be feisty, do not let his looks fool you. He will fight for a mare and will not give up until he had gotten that mare. Twist does not give up and even though he may be on the shorter side he is not afraid to challenge or threaten another stallion. He is a fighter and has a heart to succeed. If you got to know him you would realize he has a very noble personality inside that does not show often.

physical characteristics: She is a sorrel blackish brown dun color with a black mane and tail with some dun color running through it and has no leg or face markings on her. She is 15.3hh which is on the short side but she is kind and gentle and uses the height to her advantage.
personality: Ariel is a soft spoken mare and is always there to listen. She is shy and feels uncomfortable around stallions so she likes to stay away from the herds and all the drama with lead mares. She does not like mares whining and complaining so she does her best to stay away from them.

physical characteristics: Queen is a gorgeous palomino/chestnut color with a light blonde mane and one back left hock with a sock and a blaze going down the front of her face.
personality: Queen is a feisty mare and not afraid to show it. She is a stallions' worse nightmare. She is flirty and rambunctious because she is young but she is very head strong. She hates mares and hates talking to them so she stays with the stallions and tries to fight mares and is a very enthused young mare.

Razin

physical characteristics:
Very sturdy and sure-footed. He knows where he is placing his feet, and he trusts himsel fon steep hills and slippery banks. His many is unusually long, the tips of his mane reach the middle of his elbow. This tail skimming past his hocks. The stange thing about him is his rare coat color. His coat itself is a gleaming pearly white, it is short and cool in the summers, and winters. His mane and tail are a Mulberry red. It is a extremely rare but possible color, for his and arabian breeds. His whooves are all blue(A blue hoof is a gray hoof.) and his eyes are a eerie ice blue, also prone with his coat color.
personality:
Raz is very strange for a stallion, he is suprising mellow. Razin is also a very light horse to be around, things never seem to get boring or awkward when you see him. He enjoys life and laughing, nothing stops his laughter. Mares are for some reason out of the question, he is all for protecting them but he does not snake or force to mate. He has never had a herd and he only plans to make a herd to protect mares from snakers. He thinks very lowly of snaking stallions or schemeing mares. Liars are not something he likes to deal with, himself being a very honest horse. Leadership wise Razin is very good at leading, he makes great descesions when he needs to on a quick basis and seems to put others before himself. Razin is very generous and kind, always smiling to brighten the mood and never seems to get out of comfortable. When around stallions his large figure seems to help, he is not quick but uses brute force to still an enemy. The only reason he would fight is if a stallion threatened his family or the ones he promised to protect. He is not giggly or happy when stallions are about, but he is stood tall and forceful, but he would reather not show that side. Razin hates physical fights as he would rather reason with words, but he can pack the punch.
history:
Then Razin was small, he knew nothing diffrent. Every horse had a white coat and flaming mane and tail. But, at the age of two he left his herd, respectfully and wandered through the lands. Thats hwne he noticed he was different. Most horses had browns and blacks, maybe some tans or creams...Not pearl and red. His difference never bothered him much. As he traveled from Mexico to the Western parts some of the few settlers knew him as the 'Flaming Stallion' or the 'Hell Horse'. Razin took pride in his new nicknames, until everyone wanted to capture him. Razin used to have to watch his back, but since years have passed, he has become a legend. Not many believe in him, as he seems to get strange glances when he approaches horses. He noticed foals asking him about his nicknames, apparently, horses were starting to become more and more in-tune with his fairytale. He enjoys telling the story of his past, and enjoys suprising colts with the occasional grown horse.

personality:Mischief is quite a sensible and intelligent mare. She tries best to be on everyone's good side but can be very blunt/unfriendly to those who are unlucky to find themselves on her bad side. Mel is very true to herself and won't be swayed by others. Mischief rarely gets aggressive however can be a force to be reckoned with if you harm her herd or friends. She has a tendency to be sarcastic but always uses it in good humor. She can be quite a quiet horse and enjoys being by herself listening to the rain but does like the company nevertheless. It can be a but hard for her to openly express her emotions but is very happy to help others if needed.

history:Mischief was born into a small, close knit herd that lived at the base of the local mountains.Mischief got her name due to the fact that she always seemed to cause trouble for herself( Which thankfully for her mother, she grew out of). When Mischief turned 3 her father was now quite old and was challenged by a younger stallion for leadership over the herd.To no-ones surprise the young stallion won. Mischief didn't like the new stallion, he was pushy and harsh. And he prevented mares from leaving his herd but Mischief managed to sneak away when the stallion was trying to impress a lone mare. Ever since Mischief has been by herself and now wishes to join a herd again and maybe have a foal of her own.
