You have left your mother now and are on your own. You miss your mother a little, but are excited to be on an adventure. You look around, taking in your surroundings. When you hear the clink of antlers hitting antlers, you swivel your ears toward the sound and follow it. When you see what is making the sound, you feel nervous, but excited still. You watch the two Stags spar, probably practicing. When one of them backs up and looks at you, your nervousness overpowers your excitement. The stag is larger than the others and you assume that he must be the leader. The younger Stag that had been sparring with this one turns his head as well. You have time to run because you are far enough away they can't see if you're a stag or a hind. If you're a stag will you step up to the challenge or if you're a hind will you choose your fate of being a part of his herd?

•Males are called Stags and become mature at the age of 4 years
•Females are called Hinds and become mature at the age of 3 years
•Babies are called Calves and are weaned from their mothers after 2 months
•During the spring, stags grow their antlers, which are covered in soft velvet until summer, and hinds give birth.
•During the rut in the fall, stags try to create groups of hinds by either impressing them with their looks or fighting other stags.
•The stags that attract and keep hinds must fight/scare off other stags who want to steal his hinds. This is hard work so mostly older stags are the ones who make the herds, and younger ones just follow a hind group and try to breed with them.
•Stags and hinds only mingle during the rut to breed, and then hinds go off and create groups of other hinds, like a female-band without a male to guard them. (a mare herd to those in my wild horse rp)
•Stags create their own groups also, but only after their antlers fall off after rut when winter begins.
•These groups help keep them safe and warm during the hard winter months.
•There is one dominant deer per group. The leaders are called Mistresses for hind groups and Lords for stag bands.
•The leaders control the group’s movements, and in hind herds whichever stag the Mistress chooses during rut, most of the others follow.
