General RP Rules
Read all of the rules
If you can't be bothered to read them all then turn away now, they are important
Feel free to make your own forms
Forms must include, Name, Age, Gender, picture/description, personality, eventer or staff(and job), country of origin (height and breed for horses). Specialty (show, jumping dressage or cross country or all 3) for both horse and rider please. Extra details are much appreciated the more detailed the better. Of course you are free to use the pre prepared form at the bottom of the page.
Feel free to play staff and people from all cultures and countries.
Although based in north America people travel from across the world to train here, we also need staff. The staff do not compete as much as the others but are allowed they often do training and such. Please state if they are trainer or eventer in your form.
Your character may only ride in the English discipline
This is a role play about horse show eventing, eventing consists of dressage, show jumping and cross country. All English riding disciplines. Your character may specialize in one or them all.
Low Semi Lit.
I expect semi accurate spelling/grammar and 2 lines, or at least 2 well thought out sentences, per character. No "She went into the barn and grabbed her horse and walked outside with her horse."
Follow all of the site rules
This speaks for itself really.
You can break the barn rules
These rules can NOT be broken, however the barn rules can be broken to add to the drama so long as it doesn't get to the point of them being ignored completely.
Your characters should....
Be at least 18, own a horse of their own (no more than 2) , horses should not be wild they should be relatively good show horses. Horses should not start eventing until aged 5 but I would prefer them to be older than this as horses can continue showing well into their teens, should not have crushes on your own characters
Horses.
Horses can talk, but only to other horses. Your rider may be able to have an idea of what their horse is saying, but nobody can talk to horses
Warm/hotblooded horses are preferred
please stick to horses suitable for high level English discipline showing such as warm-bloods, tb's and possibly some Arabians.
Barn Rules
No one in the barn after 9pm.
Every one is to be out of the barn by 9pm unless specific permission has been given or it is the event of an emergency.
Riding hats should be worn at all times.
Horses are unpredictable, for your own safety you must wear a riding hat.
Children under 16 are not to be left unattended in the yard or house.
Your friends and family are welcome to visit but please make sure young children do not interfere with the horses, these are sensitive animals and both horse and human could end up injured.
Breeding must be cleared with the academy owner.
Spaces here are limited and very much prized, therefore mares and stallions are to be kept separately and any foals must be approved or you are at risk of exclusion from the academy. Only retired mares may be bred.
Your horse, your responsibility.
All livery here is DIY, we simply offer the training and facility's please ensure your horse is well looked after.
