Lexie laughed and barked as she raced after her new friend. They passed a couple of dogs on their way who were chatting aimlessly. After the two dogs passed them they seemed to glare but Lexie didn't care she was excited about the race and wanting to be the first pup to reach the school.

Stephanie looked up at the school just as two pups passed her barking excitedly. "Uh watch it!" she muttered as she was thrown a couple of paw steps forward from the rush of air behind them. "Oh yes I think that that's it!" she said.

The black and white swirled border collie leapt out of his plush bed. His eyes widened and he wagged his tail in anticipation. This was the day he had been waiting for! School was about to start! He raced downstairs to where his parents were waiting. His mother smiled warmly at him and nudged a bowl of kibble towards him. Chet barked his thanks before digging in. His father gave him a biscuit to take with him and waved him off towards the doggy door. His mother smiled at him and gave him his backpack. The pup grinned from ear to ear then leapt out the door towards the school. "I love you!" He called over his shoulder as he raced down the path until he caught up with a whole pack of other puppies headed towards the school as well.

Amy groaned as her mother padded over to wake her up for school. "Time to wake up honey." Her mother cooed. The pup rolled out of bed and then shook her head. Her eyes widened. It was the first day of school! She tore off towards the kitchen and ate her food hurriedly. She didn't even say good-bye to her parents and she was off like a shot. Amy couldn't wait to get to school. She ran through the puppy pack and bumped into quite a few pups before making her way towards the school courtyard. There the fluffy pup spotted a lone black puppy sitting by himself. She smiled politely and padded over to him. "Hello there. My name's Amy, what's yours?" She asked with a wag of her tail.

Skye smiled, "Yep! Oh, isn't this exciting?" she laughed and walked around the hedge before she found a small opening in the bottom of one side. She squeezed through it and waited on the other side for Stephanie. While she waited she looked around at the large school probably the biggest place she ever seen just made for dogs.

Isabelle giggled as she ran, her small paws crushing the dry leaves which have landed on the path. She has practiced running with her dad, she was nothing compared to a grown up dog but maybe, jsut maybe, she had a chance against a dog the same size as her. Finally the school was right in front of them and Lexie took a big leap touching the schools wooden planks along with her friend at the same time. "It's a draw" she huffed.

Stephanie scrambled under the bushes and looked up at the school. "Wow! This is AMAZING" she said in wonder looking around. "I am really happy to actually go in this school! Are you?" she asked.

Isabelle halted ones she reached the school and panted heavily, it was quite run. She nodded to Lexie as she tried to get her breathe back, then burst out in laughter. "You're fast!" she giggled.
