A L A S K A L I G H T S

This is a roleplay set in Alaska. There are a lot of separate adventures to live - you have to choose one. Will you choose to be in the large pack, or create your own? Maybe you rather live the life of a loner or be on the sled dog team, maybe even be a simple pet dog? You can be one of the dogs that hunt alongside the humans, but whatever you do there are difficulties. In Alaska, whatever you do has its risks.
- Misty Moon Pack

Misty Moon Pack is the main, largest pack of wild dogs. It usually accepts new members, and you may join with your character automatically in it. They do not like the loners unless they are willing to join, and they rarely like any dogs that live with humans as most of them have had bad history with them. They do have some 'chosen' small packs that they tolerate. The pack owns a part of the forest, and the loners sometimes pester them, as do the dogs that hunt with humans. The sled dogs often tease them, but they do not pay all that attention tp the show offs. The humans in general do not like them.
- Small Packs

Some dogs create their own packs which are mostly quite small, and the dogs are usually related apart from a few other dogs that might have joined. You can not be in a small pack when you join, you must roleplay it out. The smaller packs also don't get on with humans or dogs that are owned by them, but their hatred for humans isn't usually as much as Misty Moon Packs. They are friendlier to loners but still aren't friends, and some packs tolerate the main pack. They also live in the forest, but rarely have a territory and usually travel around. To create a pack they must have at least 5 dogs.
- Loners

You may be a loner when you join. Loners are, well, loners, and hardly get on with anyone, not even other loners. They are known as pests as they annoy the packs and pet dogs and steal from humans, but what else can they do? They steal to live as they don't have anyone to feed them and it can be difficult to hunt alone. As for annoying... They just do it for fun, most of them like to wind everyone up just because they have nothing better to do.
- Sled Dogs
The sled dogs are well-known teams of dogs, mostly consisting of huskies, malamutes and samoyds. You may join in a sled team already. Most of the dogs are too brave and show off a lot, especially if they have won before. They get treated well by the humans most of the time, however if they loose badly the humans may be annoyed and not take care of them for a few days, and in rare cases abandon them. The strays and hunting dogs don't like them because of their nature, however some of the pet dogs like or look up to them. They are loyal to death to their master and dogs in their team, but don't get on with other teams. They may be kept inside, chained up or behind a fence, but they are allowed to roam the city with their collars on. At least once a week they have a training session.
- Pet Dogs

The pet dogs are dogs that live in the city with a human owner and usually have an easy, simple life. You may be a pet dog when you join. They are allowed to wander within the city as long as they have a collar on, and they generally are nice to each other and all the humans. They do not like pack dogs or loners though, but they do look up to the sled dogs. Sometimes they may do minor jobs for the humans such as deliver messages or packages or pull carts. They are mostly kept inside because they are pets, but a few are kept outside on a chain or behind a fence.
- Hunting Dogs

The hunting dogs belong to the humans but they are highly trained to kill all kind of animals in the forest. You may join as one when you first start. They are friendly to pet dogs and mainly tolerate the sled dogs, however they are at war with the packs and loners. They are taught to kill them when they first see them. Usually only having 2 hunting sessions per week, they mostly roam the city and forests by themselves as long as they have a collar on. They are rarely kept indoors and they are commonly chained up. Whilst they can be any breed, the majority of them are hounds or terriers.
R u l e s
All Chicken Smoothie rules apply
- As you have joined this site then you should obey them everywhere.
Only 1-5 pups per litter
- This is because pups can't do as much and aren't that important in the roleplay.
At least 3 detailed sentences per character
- This is in order to make sure everyone can reply to what you said as it is difficult to post to 3 words. Also, make sure they are good quality, detailed and with good grammar. If you struggle, think of using adjectives, adverbs and the senses; sight, hearing, smelling, feeling and tasting.
You may have as many characters as you can handle
- As this roleplay has a lot of spaces, I encourage having multiple characters. However, you must be able to handle all of them and keep them active.
Keep genders even
- I do not want 10 females and 1 male or vice versa.
Be active
- It is annoying when people join and not roleplay, or when someone doesn't reply to you. Before joining, now, take a moment to think if you really will be interested in roleplaying here and be able to reply as soon as possible. Please post at least twice a week and notify me if you will be inactive for a while.
Make your forms detailed
- I will let you create your own forms as a bit of a read is enjoyable once in a while, and it also let's me see how literate you are and learn more about your character. If you make your own form, make sure it is detailed and includes all the main important parts. I will also provide you with a basic form which I want you to make detailed too, and in order to do that I will help you by writing some guidelines on the actual form. Please use them.
Have fun!
