Melody looked down at her leg and realized that the scratch for the cougar was deeper than she thought and so didn't race. She watched with a smile as her friends raced back towards her, and Seirra's victory dance. She bend her head to the ground as the pain shot through her body.

"I think so.... I just need to cover it". Melody stumbled to the river and did the same thing she did to Seirra's wound. Sweet relief flowed through her as the moss cooled her burning wound. Melody laid down next to the river bank and waited for blood to stop.

Melody was glad that Seirra decided to stay with her for the rest of the day"Thanks Seirra it means a lot". She turned her grey head towards the sky and looked at it darkening around them and knew that they would have to find somewhere sheltered. Melody slowly got up, just as a strong wind pasted through the valley and lifted her pinkish muzzle to the air smelling the moisture in the air. "Come on, we have to go. I don't what to be out here when the storm starts" she turned towards she friends, a light smile on her face as the storm clouds gathered and darkened the area.
