I started walking back towards camp. After a while, I heard a stream burbling. Hmmm. I turned to Malik. "May I get a drink? There's a stream right over there."

Malik nodded, "I'll follow." He replied calmly and nodded for her to go first, Yawning softly.

I nodded, then began walking to the stream. As soon as I was out of his sights, I began running off in the direction Rio and Allure had been going. We hadn't gotten very far, so I saw them soon enough.

Malik heard her take off and growled, Racing after her before eventually cutting her off since he had once been a sled dog, "Piper, Stop!" He snapped, Tail lashing.

I dashed around him and went weaving through trees before doubling back to confuse the scent. I ran back through the stream.Then I jumped over to a hollow log and crawled inside, hoping my efforts would be enough to confuse him.

Malik groaned, Letting out a bark to tell Allure that Piper had taken off and to not go anywhere, Gazing down at the ground, Trying to find the freshest tracks.

I slowly started moving towards the end of the log, then decided to wait a bit.
