Dark took the peppermint from her hand. If he didn't take it, Wildfire would show up and steal it.

Dallas petted her muddy neck and put the halter on.
Dark swallowed the mint and looked out the barn.
(Aww.. I'm sorry to hear that.. I have a funny story about some chickens and my mom trying to teach them how to swim..)
