Flower slipped into Opal's stable and looked up at the horse. Despite her intimidating size, Flower felt she was a nice one.

Mahogany sighed as she finished sorting out all of Opal's tack and gear, and decided that she would train for a bit, to get to know her new horse. She went into one of the cabins and dressed into some riding gear and re-made her hair so that the helmet would be easier to wear. She then returned to the barn and went to get Opal's saddle and bridle.

Jason finished with Cobalt's gear and decided to look around the ranch to get familiar with everything there was. He started by going to the arenas to see if there was anyone there.

Opal smiled at Dark, glad she has made a friend so easily.
"It's nice to meet you, Dark" she nickered friendily. She then saw someone slip into her stall, and cocked her head to the side. It was a she-cat. She bet down and nudged her with her muzzle. "Hello" she said curiously

Cobalt looked up as he heard someone talk to him. He turned to see a mare standing at thge fence which seperated them. He curiously walked closer to her. "Hello. I'm Cobalt" he nickered.

Wildfire held her head high, as she did whenever she met a new horse.. She started to flick her slightly scented tail, but stopped, not realizing until after it hit her leg. It was spring, and some mares were in heat, including her.
Dark watched at the cat slipped into Opal's stall.. The owner of the barn, Erin was talking about getting a barn cat soon..

"So what do you do around here?" she asked, trying to get a conversation going. As she talked she kept an eye at the cat, she seemed...OK.

Cobalt scrunched up his nose and looked away for a second as the scent of her heat reached his nostrils. He shook his head before returning his eyes to her, an uneasy smile stretched across his face.
"Its nice to meet you, Wildfire" he said.

"Nice to meet you too, Cobalt.." She whinnied, bobbing her head up and down. She shook her mane as the flies flew at her face..
"Well, usually Erin takes a couple of horses outside in the pastures," He whinnied, "but she is in the arena with Cole.." He lifted his black and white face and bobbed it up and down.

"I see" she said and sighed, stamping the ground of her stal with her hoof. Now this is boring, she thought and sighed again. "How long have you been here?" she asked after amoment of silence.

Cobalt smiled. "So what do you ride?" he asked, curious about the mare. "I do show jumping" he then added and cocked his head to the side, while swishing around his tail to chase away the flies.

"Erin has owned me for about 2 years now.." He answered, "How long has your owner had you?"
"Well, showjumping and barrel racing.." She nickered softly, as she looked at the fence.. It was about the height she was jumping..

Opal giggled.
"She actually only got me today" she said. "I'm not sure about the details though, Cobalt -her step-brother horse - told me her old horse died. But I don't know if thats the truth or not" she sighed and looked down, then back up again and forced a smile. She couldn't help but feel curious about her previous horse.

"That's cool!" he complimented, then noticed that she was eyeing the fence. "what are you thinking?" he asked, following her gaze, he voice catious but curious at the same time.
