She perked up. She was curious about her new herd. Would she find a friend? Would there be anyone her age? Questions were racing through her mind and they didn't stop.

Midnight Magic stood there grazing flicking her now unscented tail. She waited for her stallion to come back with the new mare he had got. She would now have another mare to talk to. The bigger the herd the better. Her filly was most likely going to stay in this herd since she wasn't related to the stallion. She perked her head up looking around seeing them coming. It looked like a mare with a yearling. Another yearling this made her happy now her filly would have someone her age to play with.

Electric Wind pranced around her mother bobbing her head. She would frequently neigh, a very cute neigh. She was frolicking and having fun. When she saw her mother's head perk up she haunted and looked around. She saw two horses coming this way. She was happy but nervous, since she knew nothing about them. She walked over to her mother's side and stuck close.

She perked up. She was curious about her new herd. Would she find a friend? Would there be anyone her age? Questions were racing through her mind and they didn't stop.

Titanium Twist lead the way to Magic. He whinnied and introduced Freedom to his mare and her filly. He then nipped Freedom's mane. He was proud in having two mares. He then decided they should graze for a while.

She followed him with Windy behind her. She nickered a greeting to the mare. She noticed a yearling behind her. She gave a soft nicker to show they meant no harm. She had hoped maybe if there were any foals they'd be closer to Windy age. But it didn't matter since her daughter was indeed growing up fast and approaching age two faster. In a week or so her daughter would be 2 and her daughter would be able to be considered a mare. She thought about her other foal, one who had died in a violent spring storm around mid March. The colt had been strong but not enough, at only a couple weeks he'd died and left just her and Windy alone again. Freedom shook her mane and the thoughts away and started to graze.

She followed her mother. The herd was small but small was alright, soon they may get new mares and foals in her new herd. She saw a mare and small foal. She actually wasn't disappointed at the age difference in the foal and herself. They could be friends but playing she wasn't sure if she'd be up for it. Lately she had begun feeling different and feeling more grown up than ever. She began to graze a bit away from her mother.

She was surprised. It was a few days until she was two but she was still a bit surprised. She slowly registered the fact that she too-like the other mares, could become pregnant and be another to a little filly or colt. She knew she wasn't in deep heat like her mother but she still knew she was in heat.

She grazed unaware of anything really. She was in thought when he nudged her. She walked closer to the rest of the herd and to him. He didn't seem like he was going to do anything to her so she relaxed. She would need time to get used to the idea that one day she might become pregnant with his foal. She grazed and stopped thinking about it. Instead she thought of her past and her little half brother who had died earlier this past spring. He had been a feisty little colt and put up a fight in the end, but a spring flood had killed him and almost separated her and her mother in the process of trying to save him.
