Watching the Fae's from the corner of his eye, he turned and focused as they shifted their weight and attention into his direction. Their soul penetrating gaze, saw right through his light barrier of self-esteem, and immediately he felt the need to approach and explain himself. It was a rare erg to submit to, but it was easier and more civil than running for it -which, he had seemed to be doing a lot of lately. Some wolves would say that he was becoming weak and a coward, but what it really came down to, was Daggers lack of pride, and moral acceptance.

Facing the younger of the two Faes (Blair), he dipped his nose and acknowledged her question. Taking a deep exhale of breath, he allowed himself to settle down into a less hostile and intimidating frame, before then sitting down a few feet from her. "You should probably define your level of 'Help'. If you are investing your 'help' in a form of rhetorical question, towards my reasoning of being here, then my not sure that my answer will suffice." he retorted sarcastically. " I'm just trying to cross across to the other side of your territory." he finally admitted, "I'm not here to threaten you or anyone, if that is your concern." he continued.

Shifting back into a natural stance, upon all fours he tilted his head, and took a small step forward. "The name is Dagger" he introduced. "I believe at least a basic introduction is mandatory, especially since in all honesty, your the first wolf I've seen in a few days. Hopefully it will also help make this situation seem less hostile for you, maybe even give you a sense of security in knowing the smallest of information about myself".....

Periwinkle eyes watched as the black figure moved closer, he was considerably larger than Blair, automatically giving him an advantage to attack - and win. 'Stay.' the inside of her coached, stopping the fae from taking a few steps back. Though the loner stopped a few feet away, and sat. Relief. She kept her poised figure, and listened as the brute began to explain. 'My, he's smart...' but of course, most loners that fit were. Right? White ears flickered ever so slightly once or twice, catching other sounds nearby.'Don't let Riddik see.' Blair nodded as the brute finished part of his speech, "I'm not here to threaten you or anyone, if that is your concern." Anyone could say that, and still commit murder. Still a bit hostile."Well, Dagger. I presume to see that you pass through my territory, as stated, and only that. You make one wrong move, and you're dead. Do you hear me?" The fae's words reflecting the slight irritation shown in her eyes. Blue fire. Though, Blair still felt for him, and almost wished she didn't take this role of alpha now. Maybe she could be less...harsh. Then a thought came to mind, ' He must be starving.' and she eased a little, though not letting that get through, anger still her wall. The fae turned, padded away to the food pile, grabbed a rabbit, and returned. Satisfied that Dagger had not moved. A quick flick of her jaw, and Blair tossed the bloody carcass to the dirt before the loner, and that's when her eyes softened, though one could still see the slight flash of anger if they searched. "There. See that not as a welcoming gift, nor sympathy, for I do not care what hardships you've encountered. But see that as part of my deal. To see that you don't die through my territory without my consent."But she did care. Blair felt for the brute, and in fact, wanted him to stay. But, that truth wound never be released. 'Danger.'

As the Fae spoke about her role as Alpha, he stopped and listened closely. It was hard to gather what she was feeling about the situation, whether she was annoyed or happy to see a new brute. With a sigh of confusion, he acknowledged her concern and nodded his head attentively. Obediently, as the fae asked him to wait as she left a moment, he did. As he stood, silently, a wave of fresh air, blew over the field, the was the distinct light smell of... Blood?

Watching as the fae returned with a rabbit, he stopped and looked at her blankly "why the generous offer? I would assume it wouldn't be wise to give strangers your food supply." He confirmed. "Thank-you, but I do not wish to strip you of your well, self earned supplies" ....

Blair's ears lay flat for a moment, slightly disappointed that Dagger refused her gift. Oh well. The fae then turned her head to North who begged for him to stay in her den. Did she like him? Maybe. Would it be safe to let an unknown loner in the medic den? But that wasn't all her choice now, was it? Dagger seemed to have his own opinion on things. Irritating slightly."If you truly want to, I guess. But you must have a watch on him until Storm comes. And it is partly Dagger's opinion. Ask him, Blair spoke directly to North, then turned her pale blue eyes to the loner,"I'm Blair by the way. This is North." she gestured to the medic with a slight toss of her head, and with that turned to walk away. Let the two be to themselves. The newcomer on her mind, he didn't want to join the pack, did he? The fae stopped and glanced over her shoulder,"When you're ready, I'd like to speak with you if you don't mind."How would she pop the question? Blair rolled her eyes slightly, one could feel the level of akwardness in radiate through the air.

when everyone's interest was suddenly put upon him, he meeked back. "I mean no offense in declining your 'peace offering' but I'm one that travels with a lot of guilt. I simply just wish not to trouble you and your pack anymore than I already have".

When the conversation progressed, Blair called dagger away to talk. Immediately he trotted beside her, with his paws falling in line with hers.
