Glancing over at Sahala, Tau watched as she continued toward the zebra herd. He didn't like that she was going off on her own. A quiet sigh escaped his maw, but he moved toward the scent of the lone lioness. If anything were to happen to Sahala, he would be on the case immediately. Spotting Kiana, he shook his thick mane and padded over to the lioness. He wanted this lioness to be in his pride. With a large pride, things will be much easier to deal with.

Bast released her grip on the wildebeest, licking the slight blood from her maw. "Great job to you too, big guy." She responded, seeming pleased with their kill. Padding around the wildebeest, her ear twitched as she noticed that Luka was allowing her to eat first. Flicking her tail, she lowered her head to the kill and began to eat from it. She picked up on a different scent; a male lion. She ignored it- knowing that Luka would protect her if the other male wandered too close.

Kiana heard heavy paw steps behind her, and she quickly turned around. She spotted a large lion, coming towards her. She watched him, looking him over. He was strong and large, and she noticed he had at least one lioness in his pride already. She wondered whether he was friendly, and coming to say hello. Or if he was on of those nasty lions, and he was coming I chase her off his territory. Kiana waited to see what he would do when he reached her..

Tara lounged in the tall grasses, near a small water hole. She flicked the flies from her pelt with her long tail, and lay sprawled out on her side, a golden tan speck in a huge savannah. She was feeling fairly content, having stolen a cheetah's kill, and feeling no need to hunt or drink at the moment. Rolling over onto her belly, she lifted her head and looked around. She could hear the calls of lions looking for lionesses, though did not feel attracted to any one in particular. She knew that it was better to let one of them come to her, than to go chasing after them. She was an experienced lioness, with sharp hunting skills as well as mothering skills. As most lionesses were, she was in heat currently, and was quite certain she would be found eventually. She was interested in joining a pride anyhow, and being a lone lioness she did not have to worry at the moment about and males challenging her king. She sat up and let out a soft call, letting the lions nearby know that she was indeed interested in joining a pride, however not desperate.

Once he reached the lioness, Tau lowered his gaze to peer over at her. She seemed like a nice, fit lioness. Hopefully she would agree to join his pride. "Hello, I'm Tau." He greeted, shaking his large mane to show it off. His tail twitched, golden eyes gleaming as he waited for a response. Despite his strict and serious demeanor, he was rather nice to his lionesses.

"I'm Kiana," Kiana replied. She relaxed a bit, knowing he wasn't going to chase her away. She saw that he was actually trying t show off a bit, with his mane shaking and such. she watched him, and waited to see what his next move would be.

He didn't smell another male lion on her so he assumed that she was alone. He lifted his head, waiting for her to accept or deny his proposal. He was hoping that she would accept it.

Sahala swished her tail through the air as she approached the zebra herd. By this point, she wasn't really focused on the hunt. Her mind was fixed on the subject of prides. If Tau couldn't bring in the female he was stalking right now, she would be swayed to leaving for the other male's pride. He seemed inviting, already had a female and continued on hunting with her. Seemed convincing. The lioness sighed as she realised that she wasn't being that fair. If she just waited until she had cubs they would definitely have a bigger pride, she just hoped Tau wasn't the aggressive kind of father. Sahala paused, remembering where she was, noticed a trio of zebra's grazing up ahead. With a smile spreading across her face, she dropped down into a stalking position. She knew she wasn't the best hunter, but there was no way she could get better if she didn't try. She carefully brought her paws forward and slithered through the tall grass. It didn't take long to get near enough that a pounce was all it would take. Now let's play the waiting game. The lioness' body was kept still by the rising tension in the air. One wrong move and her chance would vanish. The prey animal took a few steps forward, towards where Sahala lay. It halted and raised it's head into the air, flaring it's nostrils. The hunter's eyes widened and her back legs began to work. She was ready to strike.

A pair of dark, hazel eyes scanned through the tall grass, attention clearly focused on a small lizard. The little creature was aware of the white furred cub. Hasina crouched down, her ear twitching ever so lightly. Hasi took little steps, only moving her head to make sure nothing else was out to get her. Once she was close, the cub pounced, yet she was met with the hard cushioning of the ground. The tall grass that parted due to her leaping through were close together, the lizard taking a look at the cub before scurrying off. Hasi let out a few annoyed grumbles before getting back to her paws. She wasn't exactly close to the territory.. Would you blame her? Not much a cub could do, other than sit, sleep, and wait, yet that wasn't any fun.

Hasina's pale colored tail swayed back and forth, whipping at the air. Hasi stretched out, parting her maw in a yawn before she began walking. To where? She didn't know, but she was bound to come back to the pride; it's the only place she ever knew to call 'home'.

I sit and observe my surroundings. I notice another female lion (Lira) standing close by. I watch her closely and keep my guard up, even though we needed lionesses, I wanted to make sure she wouldn't try to over throw Bast in her position, which wasn't really my decision, but Bast was here first. I would allow her to get close if she did. I could smell the male's scent and decided to warm him of his presence which was too close to my territory. I stand and stretch my neck, releasing a loud, deep, powerful roar from my lungs.
