Egypt was playing with the pups of some other coyotes. Everyone in her pack trusted her. Because once she risked her life as a pup to save an omega. That's when her parents were alive. Later that year the omega died from illness. She heard a noise in the bushes and left the pups to an omega who took care of them. Egypt sniffed the ground till her found the end of the scent she smelled.

The huge brute sat in his pack's clearing, his yellow eyes glistening under the tiny sliver on moon left in the sky. It had been a long night, well, any night was long for him. Full of dreary terrifying dreams, in his mind at night his mate and pups died over and over and over again. His life was worthless, a living hell. Sighing he stood up, his head turning around to gaze at the wolves who would soon arise. Right now he just wanted to be alone. Slowly he padded out of the clearing and into the dark dawn.
