Maximus
"I was just doing what the Sky would want me to, and it's Maximus." Maximus says as he sits down outside the pine tree, ears perked as his eyes scan the woods and his black nose quivers in the air. He sits frozen, barely moving, but staying on guard. Maximus's mind drifts back some as he thinks of the Sky. The Sky gives everything. It gives water, rain; it gives cold, snow; it gives light, sun; warmth, also sun. Who says the Sky doesn't also give life? And if it gives life, wouldn't it want it's life to be good? With that logic, the northern wolves's logic, the Sky would want Maximus to help Raven. So that's what he did. Although, Maximus isn't going to pretend that the she wolf doesn't intrigue him. Another part of his willingness to help was the fact that, quite frankly, he likes her. But Maximus also isn't optimistic, he knows to much for that, so he won't say or do anything to give his meaningless feelings away.
